So about the audio programmers part, there are sound designers who don't know music.. so there is no compulsion to know music to do sound design for films/ads etc, it is just an added advantage if you know music, but not necessary. Only thing you need to understand is how music and the sound design in a scene shouldn't clash with one each other. In fact, people who are into music, would actually enjoy stuff related to music rather than audio post production for media. and there are a lot of people who are just programmers for big music directors. So somewhere there is a similarity between these stuffs, but quite different profiles to be precise. It is a little bit different for games though. There is a whole lot of stuff that comes extra while doing audio for games, understanding game engine, audio implementation, audio middleware etc. That stuff people learn while learning so called, 'game design'.

i have a big question for you we producers we all love music and we all dream to do it professionally one day and for that we even work hard very hard but don't u think in the coming years AI will be so advance that it will make music when all this digital stuff wasn't there a person use to train only one instrument throughout his life to be the best at it but with the introduction of midi we don't even need to learn 1 instrument just a bit of music theory and that's enough to play any instrument if we use piano roll and if we use midi controllers we just need to know how to play keys a i love it this way but i think when midi was introduced it would have unemployed musicians who use to play only one instrument if not completely atleast effected them in a great way so don't u think introduction of AI music will effect us and did u hear about jay z (a program analyzd his voice and then it was able to reproduce his voice and it was even able to rap lyrics in jay z's voice which he never rapped jay z tried to get rid of it but then idk what happened)
