It is done per piece - however if they are more than 100g then they charge extra. It is also dependant on the size of the hallmark they put on the pieces. It is usually about £2.50 per piece for small ones and as much as £5 for larger ones.
Very impressive video. I'm pleased it came up in "recommended". Glad you covered the hallmark act too. It's a fascinating set of laws which have been described as "early consumer protection laws". My oldest piece of UK hallmarked silver is London assayed, 1763 and is a gravy boat. The second oldest(shell bowled coffee spoon) is 1788 then 1793(fusee pocket watch). I collect hallmarked silver items and so far have around 450 items covering 26 countries. I tend not to collect silver jewellery unless it has the hallmarks of the country of origin. Purity marked jewellery tends to be on-sold or melted into bars. Anyway, great video and thanks for posting it. 😁👍😉
Can anyone please tell me who i could contact about getting my gold and silver hand poured bars assayed and hallmarked in the United States 🇺🇸 ? Note the gold bar is only 14kt ive melted broken jewelry
Have you researched what % of silver in the market is from mining and what % is recycled silver? How much new silver from mining is being introduced into the market.
Ok...that might be an interesting topic for you to do. I know you have a wide range of topics on your videos. Also, what affect does hoarding silver have on the price. I am not sure, but it seems like more people are stacking and there are more collectible silver now than in the past. Of course in the past there was more actual silver coins in circulation also.
But drilled ones are for sure real, comparing to not drilled, and should be more desirable. Because you still can slip 5 or more fake once in a batch of 200 which will get stamped if not detected. Some people goes extra mile. Every single item should be drilled with thinnest drill, without the lottery.
I've been trying to figure out how/ where to get this done in the US... Unfortunately no matter how I search it I can't find anything, almost like Google is hiding info from me! Lol
Thank you for the lesson. I think the best part of your silver bars is that there is NO QUEEN in the back! Bravo!
Ahah! Love it!
Great stuff. Pouring and stamping so many bars is quite a job! Liking the new pour too 👍🏼
It was a little time consuming I will say!
Very nice display of silver. I’m curious about how they charge you to do the essays. Is it by the number of bars or weight? Is it expensive?

Now there's a beautiful sight! Well done brother! The 250g's are so cool! 😎 And the "French fry" (😁) kit kat's are too!
Thank you very much my friend - very happy with the way they turned out, especially the french fry kit kats!
Beautiful, pal - I can't wait for mine to land through the letter box! Great work, big lad - your (and your wife's) efforts are much appreciated!
Hopefully a few weeks now! Looking good arent they!

Thanks very much!
What is the cost to have them hall marked?
It's about £2 per piece when done in this quantity

Looks like a giant Valcambi Combibar
Yeah, it does it but doesn't it!
One question. I have what is called in the US as Junk Silver. Do you have a video on how to purify the metal?
I dont know how to purify that - it is some kind of acid based process.
If you're inplying at minted coins, i greatly suggest against it. Jewelry is always okay. :)
Nitric acid and DISTILLED WATER

I have not looked into that I have to say.

Where do you get (buy) the silver used to make those ?
I buy it from www.europeanmint.com

pretty sure there are no assay offices in the USA that are like the ones in the UK. It's kind of a UK thing really.
Very, cool! Hope, you sell out! Hope, you keep pouring!!!
This is an older video, they did indeed sell out!
Very cool. Thank you for the information and explanation.
My pleasure - thanks for stopping by!
Did they sell?
Every single one of them within the pre-sale period. As with all my products, they sell fast.
BEAUTIFUL
Thanks!
I knew it wasn’t as easy as pouring silver and selling it , but didn’t realise there was literally laws ! Could anyone copy the hallmark ?
Nobody can legally copy my Hallmark. If they did they would be committing fraud. I wish it was as easy as pour and sell 😉
Do you have an Assay in the US that you'd recommend? I'm thinking of pouring my own silver and would like to get some kind of proof of authenticity.
My OCD tells me that there are in fact 220 1 oz bars in the main rectangle.....ahhhhh, I feel better now 😁
Yes - there were some spares for my own BYB branded bars!
There is 230 in the rectangle, 23 bars 10 rows
First! Great video :D Gonna have to get me some more! :D
Thanks my friend - drop me a message and we can sort something out
