Just apply for the job and hopefully you meet the requirements. It seems most of us either get in through sheer luck or knowing the right people.

I can't use a dozer or one of these machines to save my life. I can drive them fine but I have no idea what to do with the blade.
12 functions is a lot. Add the winch and the multitude of settings for the tiller and it can be a bit mind bending 🤣

what's the winch for? to keep you on the road as safety? Or to help with leverage when plowing up hill?
A bit of both. It’s to aid climbing but also to aid descending safely on steeper slopes.

Videos really don’t show how steep something is
We’ve got winch anchors on our hill in spots where any freecat can climb at any slope condition. We usually use those winch points if we need to do a lot of pushing on that particular slope that a freecat wouldnt be able to do
