Worked there quite a few times when it was running. It was a great place to work and the solid 60's engineering always amazed me. Could still easily have been producing power now.
Nice, good shot on their part too; it might not have been necessary to drop them both straight down like that but that's their flourish to go with yours.

Destroyed so they can't go back, forced to "go green" (except for China).
This power station demolition mania with little or no real new generation been brought on line! Madness.
You've DEFINITELY got to get signed up for Fiddlers. Your footage is amazing.
Nailed it for sure.
Wonderful camera work. I love the collapse of the chimney, best shot of all demolitions I saw, it starts at 1:05
Amazing footage 👍🏻
Thank you very much for the upload this is the best footage so far.

Its easier for cleanup to make them go like that. Not so large area to clean from all that rubble.
Tower came down exactly like North and South tower 🧐
Chimeny fell like 9/11
I regret nothing...well, maybe demolishing the capability to generate electricity????
Good riddance - it was a coal burner.
@@swp12Coal is best always was always will be.
@@swp12well Drax dosent now, knocking the power stations down was a lunatic stupid idea!
@@paulineclough So we should just keep burning coal then?? Have the last few years (and @Deltacon84) taught you absolutely nothing???
@@swp12like I said, DRAX DOSENT USE COAL ANYMORE!
