Im not taking up for this guy, but just because someone becomes homeless doesn't mean they shouldn't/can't have clothes. I've seen comments before (not here) that say "how do you have a phone and ur homeless " or "how do you have clothes and ur homeless" Just because someone is homeless doesn't mean they don't have anything at all. Most people end up homeless with belongings.

Him having 14 pairs of jeans and 7 pairs of jordans sounds absolutely like something a 20-something-year-old would have. I used to keep track of my work clothes bc I was anal about creating my outfits. IIRC, I had at least 30 pairs of pants---not including skirts and dresses. 14 pairs of pants is not unthinkable, Marilyn. And, $60 isn't expensive for jeans...and I'm cheap. Judge Mathis once accepted a guy's pictures of his clothes...but this was the actual pic of the clothes that the other person had put outside. 🤣Either way, I think that she should have accepted this guy's proof since she was flat-out accusing him of not even having them.

The Judge, like every one, has reviewed the case upfront and thus already knew that there was no evidence given before the case started. So all she needed to confirm was whether either party had the needed proof with them during the case or had convincing arguments for not having said evidence.
Which is EXACTLY what a Court Case is supposed to be about.
So of course she had an idea of how the case would be going to turn out and in this case no new evidence was turned over and no valid arguments were given, therefore the idea upfront became the definitive decision after hearing the litigants.
Simple and nothing weird or wrong about it.
Here’s a suggestion: Learn the first bit about law cases before whining about them.

I beg to differ with the judge, but in most jurisdictions, if someone is living with you, paying rent or not, if they don't leave, you have to go through an eviction process. The cops won't throw them out. They'll say it's a civil matter. There's cases where people went on vacation, came home to find squatters living in their house, and they had to go through an eviction process to get them out. It sounds crazy as hell, but that's our judicial system.

You can have nice things, but priorities should be in order. Can I claim I bought a $1,000 of clothes while living with momma with no proof and now it’s missing and all of a sudden expect the law to believe me without receipts? HELLLOOOO
