However, under the precision and expertise of 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐝 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐬 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐣𝐚, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, 𝐇𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲, the said patient, after base line investigations & two units of blood transfusion, underwent an 𝐔𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐈 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐀𝐕𝐄 (𝐆𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬), 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡.
Sharing details about the case, Dr Majid says, “Initially, the patient reported to us with history of multiple blood transfusions since last four years, wherein she had visited multiple healthcare facilities including AIIMS, but all in vain. However, after conducting patient’s 𝐔𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐈 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐲, I did her 𝐀𝐏𝐂 (𝐀𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧) & she got discharged on next day of procedure. When she came back on a follow-up visit, her repeat Hb was 13 & she showed significant improvement in her quality of life, marking a turning point in her health journey.
