I remember when I got my first iPad... Currently on my third. Best tip - get a Burga case for it, they're not only pretty, but very protective too! And you can even get a matching phone case with it for a full look
You should totally get one you'll love it ! Great gadget over all (: I can get about 2days before I need to charge it. Mostly use it for planning, drawing and thumbnails:)

It lasts long. I had mine for awhile so the battery isn’t as good as it used to be but I still get like 8 hours nonstop use
