I was a freshmen in high school when this came out and the clouds became my favorite Soul Gospel group for all time!!! Listening to this takes me back to simple times and when music was at its BEST! Makes me feel so good and warm all inside to the depths of my soul! My my my, Soooo GOOD!!!
whenever I hear Mr Ligon's voice, I think of FIRE comin out of his mouth...his voice was just pure FIRE...he is an irreplaceable legend. RIP, Mr Ligon.
I have loved this album since it was released. Every song touched me. Though some criticized it because of the production, they failed to feel the content. Shallow people, I think.
From the pompadours of the 60s to thr fros. Definitely a departure from their quartet sound. A funk album. You can hear the struggle pushing thru some of the tracks.

ON THE SONG YOU THINK, Johnny Martin and Joe Ligon was doing the lead vocal, but its hard to pick up on it because they both sound alike
That was Richard Wallace, and Joe Ligon, and Not Johnny Martin.
