Taranto: “Abisso” launched: the boat built by students

On the morning of December 12, the launching ceremony of the "Abisso" vessel took place at Molo Sant'Eligio in Taranto. The result of the "Laboratorio del Mare" educational project, the initiative was funded by the Puglia Region and carried out by the Archimede Institute in collaboration with the Maremosso workshop, the Polytechnic University of Bari and the ITS Turismo Puglia.
"Abisso" is a cabin launch intended for environmental research and monitoring, built with the contribution of over 500 students from middle and high schools in the province of Taranto. A concrete example of how education can merge with technological innovation and the protection of the marine territory.
