- The episodes just keep getting wilder! This episode would not give the audience a break with all the things it kept throwing at us. Let's explore what we learned this go round!
I really enjoy your content. Best Dexter reviewer out there. Keep being you, and your channel is gonna be huge!
@@JuliaMoore123 thank you so much!
When you break out into song randomly I cry laughing 😂 you have a beautiful voice, I just never expect it in a Dexter review!
I came to say the same thing he really does have a beautiful voice! I think I found this one 19:35 even funnier because my dad use to bust out singing the same song boy would he rile us up with that one 😅 when me and my sister was growing up so much so I do it to my daughter.
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
Bruh you hilarious. You might be my favorite dexter reviewer
@@seanmota424 thanks fam!
I don’t think that the first team with Brian is a flashback, but instead the next murder that he is committing that we will see Miami Metro have to deal with next week. ☠️
@@lindsayduede you know what? You could be right. We’ll have to see.
Your "find him" got u my sub! Keep up good work bro! 🤙🎸🤙
@@CrashCanary I appreciate the watch and the sub!
It keep getting better and better. It really takes itself seriously unlike New Blood and many other shows off lately.
This may be the best Dex review on UA-cam. Bravo
Thanks fam!

@@ImChris4 what?
I love your reviews. But I have to disagree with you on one point. This isn't the best episode, due to a major plot hole at the end. Dexter letting the captain go was a HUGE risk. In real life, captain will go to the hospital to repair his finger. Then, he's going to put out a APB and have Dexter arrested! Dexter would be finished. No one will believe his story of the captain killing the judge's kid or kidnapping Nicky. Dexter has no hard proof that would hold up in court. Once Dexter revealed himself to Captain, he had to kill him.
@@purplethrone3245 thanks for checking me out as well as the perspective. I stand by my point for at least a few reasons. 1. The captain wouldn’t be thinking straight because he doesn’t know what Dexter knows or doesn’t, so he would want to expose Dexter before having that knowledge (same reason Harry won’t arrest Brian). 2. He will likely panic due to the fact that he didn’t think anyone would suspect him in the first place so he’s now scrambling to do clean up which will lead to mistakes. He has to kill Nicky age Dexter tbh. 3. The scene with the yellow bag and Dex pulling the fingerprint is likely the captain’s. He also probably still has receipts for the sunny smiles meals for the kids. 4. Dexter had a plan to keep his prey under wraps which is why he made it look like a mistake, but people with a dark passenger are his specialty. He knows them. They rarely go to the cops, even if they are one. 😂
@@purplethrone3245 another thing to consider is he went into the arcade with a burner weapon (likely illegal). He dropped it when Dex jumped him. His fingerprints are on the bag at least. I bet they’re also on the weapon. He’s actually probably really scared now. He thought he buried Dex in work but didn’t realize he drew attention to himself by making his son’s case look less important. Could’ve just stayed in his lane and left the forensics guy alone. Guilty people love telling on themselves.
@@BrotherOshow7 I'm not clear how the burner weapon could tie Captain directly to the kidnappings. He is the captain, i'm sure he can convince a judge to drop that illegal weapons charge. True, he doesn't know what Dexter knows or doesn't know; But if I was the captain, (with 30+ years of working murder crimes), I would assume that Dexter came clean on everything he knows because Captain was about to die. Usually, criminals empty the truth tank right before they kill you. I would assume captain is an expert on killer behavior. Now Nicky has to die. He had to die even before Dexter pinned captain to the plastic. The moment Nicky figured out that it was his father who kidnapped him, he had to die. The finger print on the yellow bag would be the best piece of evidence, but it's not dead to rights evidence. Meaning, a team of good lawyers could find an argument to justify that finger print. Same with the sunny smiles meals. Its circumstantial evidence. How can you prove that food in the kids stomach -100% came from the sunny smiles meals? And even if you could prove that, how could you prove it was the captains purchase vs. the hundred or thousands of other parents who purchased sunny smiles meals? All I'm saying is, There is no dead to rights evidence. It would be a battle of lawyers in court. And that entire time, Dexter would be in jail. I doubt Dexter would even make bond. And even if Dexter made bond, Captain would have 24 hours surveillance on Dexter. Dexter would be unemployed and couldn't make one move until his court case was settled.
@@purplethrone3245 imo The burner would show criminal intent, at least. Like why do you have it in the first place? I think the writers want to show that the captain isn’t thinking clearly after being rattled by another psychopath. I think that’s just the way the show usually goes. Dexter gets lucky even when the killer seems to get away. The captain is clearly not smart if Nicky knew who he was with the mask on. He will fold if he has to tell too many particulars of the situation. When you lie, you have to be able to remember what you said. Dexter’s smarter than him, and captain will show it next episode. Come back here or comment on next week’s review if I’m right. 😂

I think the kill of the worker is actually his latest (so probably 5th), since Dexter talked about it escalating, and figuring out his 'style', and this kill is pretty close to what he'd settle on as the Ice Truck Killer, just messier. And so it's probably going up the list from the most recent enemy (the doctor), to his earliest (Harry).
That makes sense. Thanks for watching and sharing perspective.
Hilarious review, so refreshing compared to most channels out there. You’d be great at covering Severance if it interests you!
@@RETROACTIVETV so I’m thinking about doing severance. I have a lot of catching up to do.
I want a spin off show of Brian now lol the actor that plays him is great! I felt so uncomfortable by him
@@VeronicaLovesYou22 so does everyone else til he flips the script. 😂
But I do feel you. I was wondering if they were going to do it. His path after parting with Dexter and reconnecting could be an interesting story.
Bro chooses the wrong hobby to peruse, bro should be in the studio cooking the next big hit

HELLZ YEAH , brother! I realized that Brian may be the NHI serial killer due to his lack of a clear M. O. and whatnot! We already know that he was already active before Dexter since he is the older brother...then we saw clues...anyway...YAY! ^..^
Brian definitely had an m.o. for the nhi murders. He was already moving in that direction since he was a kid really. Poor little lizards were being tortured.
Another great recap!
Thank you!
Lasquirta
Hmmmm okaaaay! 😅
Say what now?! 😂
She hooks up with everyone. I'm surprised she's not Brian's mom.
@ Oh... that's what you were getting at. I wasn't thinking about her in that way. I like her in the prequel and I feel like she got darker in her later years on the force, which seems to be a lot of the people at miami metro. I didn't think she slept with that many folks but I do think she used sex strategically at times. That season where she made the women in charge go crazy because she was sleeping with her husband and then dumped him after the woman broke down and quit was crazy. Laguerta was a piece of work.
Are Dexter and Brian supposed to have the same father? One looks latin and the other a wasp.
It's not clear. But since Dexter was Joe Driscolls only heir, they might have different fathers. Or Brian killed Driscoll because he's forgotten about him.
I’m not sure about the lineage, but I know that Brian loves Dexter more than anything. He will take everybody out to get to him.
woo!

Spoiler.... Spencer kills harry
@@DukeNukem5 this is interesting. Care to elaborate?
