The CO-OP a lot of people are boycotting co-op shops because of the rise in prices,for instance,I bought a box of fire lighters at £1.80 the week after they were £4 that's just one item,I talked to the staff at my local co-op and they said none of them shop there because of the high prices and the co-op soon complains when they are robbed well I'm complaining now because of them robbing all the people,I hope the co-op goes under for what they are doing,disgusting.

In early 2000s I bought a pre-packed chicken sandwich from Coop... there was a clear side view where you could see the pieces of meat through the packaging. Once I started eating I realised they had carefully cut through dice-sized lumps of chicken, the rest of the sandwich being salad leaves. It was intentional. I haven't shopped at any coop since. Painfully slow service in my opinion, too.

Co op has a very good and strong policy on dealing with colleagues who suffer with metal health problems , don't feel as though you will be singled out or as if you will be incapable of doing the job , you will receive all the support you need from staff / management.

when i worked for them i was discriminated against by them when someone lied about me they refused me the right to give my statement and was suspended just before my holiday when i got back they told me other peoples statements and cctv prove i did nothing wrong but when i complained about this i was told by 1 of my managers WHY ARE YOU SO ANGRY YOU HAVE YOUR JOB BACK when i said i thought i did not lose my job just suspended he said YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN yes i did know the person who lied about me still worked they nothing happened to him few months later he lied about something else they gave him the chance to be honest he still lied they had it on cctv did they sack him no they give him the chance to resign so it would not be on his record i will never forget how i was treated by them

The floor staff're very actively encouraed to sign for a membership cards and if they do cave in just to shut head office up., they 'own' the shop but can be sacked.
The staff are fine but OMG why would anyone choose to waste their money at the co-op, the prices are stupidly high. Example; those microwavable packs of pre cooked rice. In tesco are 35p. In the co-op 90p. Their pork pies are very bad quality also .. you go to any other supermarket and you'll get a standard and decent pork pie. If you go to the co-op, you get this wierd grey mixture inside. They're totally gross! I wish the co-op would just close their doors and go away. Maybe Asda or Aldi, even Morrisons could take over the premesis instead.

When I pay for my basket of food, I get a Voucher for B&Js ice cream "75p off". Hey that's a good saving. Next day I go along to buy it, the price has gone up by over a £1. IT'S A SCAM CO-OP..... I stopped shopping in your supermarket for good this year. Same with other supermarkets.. esp Tesco and morrisons. All this surveillance and pushing digital everything. Its boring and makes me feel Ill and anxious when I'm inside. I have successfully manage to get by using local food suppliers, farm shops etc. Its amazing how much healthier and less anxious I feel now. part of that is human contact and not being so exposed to the increasingly Orwellian corporate landscapes on the regular. So good luck co-op with the whole dehumanizing your customers while pretending you are great.
