  • Jillian Tinkel lost her husband and son in a car accident nearly a year and a half ago. She is simply a hero of mine. After seeing and talking to people like Jillian I have felt much less alone, much less crazy, and much more normal. It also kind of gave me a type of measuring stick I could look at. People like Jillian and Kuri Bolger who had had on previously, they are kicking ass. Jillian somehow is back at work as a teacher at the same school her son went before he passed away. Not sure how she does it. I basically do public speaking gigs and podcasts and in between those moments it's a real struggle. In bed a lot still. Jillian's story inspired me to get a job, so I don't mope around so much. I am now a pool boy as my day job and I love it. Thanks for your example, Jillian and so sorry for your loss of Randy and Korbin.

When my brother died in a car accident the first thing I thought was why me and why couldn't this happen to someone else. I immediately stopped and thought I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone.

I have to say that Jillian is a tremendous person! She was my daughter’s first grade teacher and was such a blessing then and still is. She is strong and brave beyond anything I could imagine. She is always in my thoughts and prayers.

My 3 yr old son and I was hit sitting completely still at a red light by a little little car going 50mph. It totaled the car. Thankfully the car seat kept my son completely safe, he was also asleep so he didn’t ever tense up. He had 1 bruise. Knowing how bad our wreck was, I couldn’t imagine being hit by a truck. I couldn’t imagine being hit by a car bigger than what we were hit by. This is terrible. Sending prayer!

I really enjoyed hearing Jill’s story. I do have some constructive criticism for the host, if you’re open to some!
I want to start by saying the quality of the audio of this is great and i think the set up is welcoming.
My biggest critique is the host not researching and gaining knowledge on the guests situation. It seems unprofessional to have someone speak on SUCH a heavy topic and NOT make yourself aware of the details beforehand so you can appropriately be engaged.
The above would also help with my next critique, which is speaking over the guest. it seems quite constantly when the guest is talking, the host speaks over them and redirects the conversation to either their personal story (WHICH CAN BE OKAY when done appropriately) or he just talks over and then has to ask questions she was just about to answer.

Semi drivers aren’t supposed to even hold their phone and talk on it while driving…..they’re supposed to have headsets or use Bluetooth.
Some of the newer semi’s have video recorders recording the driver, many company’s are now using these to keep drivers honest and obeying the law.
Thank you for your podcast. Sorry for all the pain you all have suffered. Thank you Jillian for sharing your story.
My only request is please don’t say GD…tx u
Unfortunately the driver of the semi only got 24 months in jail. He even gets to do a work program at the local dollar store😳😤 Not justice!!!

I never text and drive and never will, it is illegal to text and drive in Ohio, but it’s not that strict…you may get a $150 or $250 fine, which is ridiculous! I am so sorry for this woman’s loss, I hope that truck driver loses his license and has to do jail time, he should!

Mmm no- if you dont like HIS podcast then go away. No one needs your nasty negativity. You clearly missed the point of the video and the entire channel if THAT is your comment. Be gone.

@@bekahkashtanif you were tryna tell the story of how your husband died in front of you and you basically watched your son pass away, fearing the last piece of your family was about to die too, you probably wouldn’t want a host trying to fill in the blanks. criticism is not negativity. he needs to let these people speak more, instead of asking things like if she saw her husband’s dead body.

Terrible host, constantly interrupting, not acknowledging her story, continues trying to one up her in the sense of tragedy. He needs to learn to listen, truly listen, not just wanting to speak. Only continuing the video to hear her story. Host sucks.
