I'm using the beta Intel drivers that released days ago. With RPCS3, after loading all the textures I was able to get perfect frame rates on Persona 5, Asuras Wrath and Demons Souls. a beast indeed!
Handheld PCs ought to be its own category now as it causes confusion for many thinking they are netbooks, mini-laptops or tablets. e.g. no one confused Windows PDAs with Windows laptops. The obvious distinction (other than size) would be you hold and operate it in your hand on the go as opposed to a laptop which is operated stationary. If anything the closest comparison to a handheld pc would be tablets.
Public release of Cemu 1.21.2 should be this Friday - try the Vulkan backend again (with the I-GPU specific fixes in the "Graphic Packs") Async GPU might actually work for your GPU now, it's an insane performance increase.
ETA PRIME, at 9:01 you use the stick to move the pointer mouse and clic the commands. is it possible to use the touchscreen directly with you fingers to touch the 2nd screen of the 3ds? an other question, did you test the left dpad? is it ok to use it, or the keys of the keyboard can be pushed involuntarily?

I can tell you right now owning one that if it runs RDR2 playable at all, it will be on the lowest settings at 800x600 and most likely still not be 60 fps. Prob runs it just fine with a decent egpu.
Great review but I wish there were more citra tests. Based on what I've seen from other videos the max can't run citra at full speed on a lot more demanding games. Looking forward to the egpu tests.

Id love to have a cool portable Manjaro machine (I am a student, the cheaper the better) that might also be able to emulate the one or other machine
For the price i'd hope its a BEAST Issues will likely go away when you hook up an external GPU though, even a 1650 should be good for general gaming and have no issues with Emu's, assuming it works properly.
What's the point of that you take the handheld portability away and in that case you might as well build a small form factor pc that will eat this for less.

At this price point, I'm not sure who this is for. There are very few situations where a cheap gaming laptop and/or game streaming aren't more sensible
I think the main point of this is the portability, for the size and overall power of the device make it hard to beat the price. Plus, you'll never have to worry about an internet connection for any higher end emulation.

yeah, this is situational. it's not reasonable of course. it's not for people who want the best deal. it's a portable mini gaming pc. which part of this sounds like yeah, that would totally be the best thing for everyone. yeah, at that price you can get a decent gaming laptop. even better pc. it won't weight 800grams though. nor you will hold it like a handheld. with this you can play in the toilet if you want. in your bed. on the train, on an airplain... so on. yeah, you can do the same with a laptop, but you won't hold it like a controller, you will have to place it on something and use it.... you know, like a laptop. also technically this runs a lot of PC games pretty decently. check The Phawx's channel, he have made some quite intense testing on this. a lot of games tested. and yeah, i will say it again, it's not the greatest, bestest or whatever estest thing in the world. technically if you want to be reasonable you don't buy a $1000+ phone as well, since basically a $300-$400 can do everything you want from a phone but people are doing it for one reason or another

I can get 60fps if there's not much in the background and the temperature is usually around 60-70C BUT the fps drops to the 30s and the temperatures for some of the cores jump up to the 80s (even saw 90) when there's a bunch of stuff. I'd like to know his settings as well.
Of course there is a point to upscale further. I use redream at 4K on my 1080P screen and it looks better cause at that resolution we are having natural anti aliasing happening.

The performance seems great and all (and the price isn’t too prohibitive) but the lack of storage space makes this a deal breaker for an emulation machine. That internal drive needs to be at least 1TB or more (using USB storage and/or MicroSD cards to run PS2, GameCube, and PSP games will greatly damage performance through bottlenecks). Is there a realistic way to swap in a larger capacity SSD card without having to completely rebuild the system?
If you are using an eGPU, you could put your graphically intensive games on an SSD mounted either on the USB hub behind the eGPU or built-into the eGPU on enclosures like the CoolerMaster EG200.
I know Breath of the Wild is your go to for Wii U due to how demanding it is, but what about other games? Personally, I'd want to see how well Tekken Tag Tournament 2 runs on it. With an 8 inch display, that would not be ridiculous to try to have a couple of people play some 1 on 1 matches on that with a couple Bluetooth controllers.
Intel Iris Plus Graphics fully support Vulkan? I don't know about that, you might want to check just to be sure, I think it froze up because Iris Plus doesn't fully support Vulkan
Hello short question.could you test if batocera over usb could work with this? Tried it with the gpd win 1 and the cool thing is the controller would work in batocera but the screen rotation is a problem I cannot overcome. gpds vertical screen orientation you cannot change when not in windows.

I have an old 2015 Kindle Fire 7" (5th Generation). Do you know what can it emulate up to? From what I can find online it has a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali-450MP4 GPU.

Windows 10 is compatable with dualshock 4 and xbox controller (can't confirm for switch pro, but steam supports it, so I think it's possible) and gdp has Bluetooth built in, so yes, you can connect those gamepads

Liquid metal? Like steel? It's rather hot.

Because your notebook slows down processor when not plugged in, you can change that in battery settings
