Robert Baisch beautiful indeed! Such a warm welcoming tone. I dont know how to describe, but it has this veilied tone, like theres a piece of velvet over the tone.
A beautiful piece played by an expert performer on a wonderful instrument, exactly as Chopin would have heard it! It doesn’t get any better than this!!
My dream to own a Pleyel Piano from the age of Chopin. So much richness, nostalgia, within a cabinet of wood, metal, and felt.
Amazing instrument and interpretation, this pleyel sounds like magic, wish someone recorded alkan pieces on old pianos
This is brilliant. Well done.
Such an intimate interpretation. I come here from time to time whenever I want to hear this kind of sound in that piano
Thank you, very glad to hear that!
what an instrument!!
amazing, even on mp3

This was is voiced well and the bass doesn't over power the treble!
The pianist and piano is a very good match.
wow I really love your way of playing!!

Was the tuning in Chopin's period different from the one in today? The G sounds like F# to me.
Yes, it's probably tuned to A= 435 which was standard in France during the latter 19th century, or perhaps a bit lower.
Is a different tonality?
Could you tell me from which collection this Pleyel is ? Thank you
Paul Badura-Skodas Collection in Kremsegg Castle (Austria)
432 hz ?
I doubt, the piece sounds like a ballade in E minor
Sound is Very dry. Probably due to the age of the piano.
Yes hammer felt is not whith good density .... sound hard and acid .....😢
Felt Chopin time is 0.25gr/ cm3 ....😊
I prefer modern piano
Helas le timbre de cette gimbarde est une offense pour les oreilles....
😂
