I learned so much more, today, about detail and how important it is to get them accurate. And I loved the subject- the Monarch! They are becoming endangered and I have had the privilege of getting ahold of a few eggs and watching every step of their growth and development. I learned that a black spot in the centers of the lower winds indicates a male. So as you were painting I thought to myself 'she's painting a girl's! Thanks for your teaching!

Harriet, this painting is so delicate and sweet. There are also many lessons and tips within this tutorial (at least for a "forever" beginner like me! Finally finished. Also Ant is not wrong, or right, haha. I'd call it Intermediate at the very least. It's not *hard* but time consuming I suppose, and a test of the agility of ones hand muscles with those butterfly lines. Great tutorial though, Harriet, once again.
