Very interesting. I've seen lots of flexi discs, or sound sheets as they are sometimes known, but I've never seen flexi discs that big before. They look cool and I actually thought they sounded quite good despite a few clicks here and there, that's probably just a bit of surface noise. Hearing the birds on that record reminded me of a vinyl LP my mum had when I was a kid. It was called Bird Sounds In Close Up, recorded by Victor Lewis. It was released here in the UK on PYE records in 1969. My mum's one was a 1973 reissue on the Hallmark label. Great memories. Thanks for sharing.
Reminds me of the band... Middle of the road.. They did a song called chirpy chirpy cheep cheep.. Back in the seventies.. Think it was them anyway...wonder how your bird would react to these sounds... Interesting show... Cheers.. Ade

I Listened to return of the Jedi from the reading program for the Blind on 8rpm fllixdisc.

I have a National Geographic flexi-disc of the sounds of humpback whales that originally came from one of its magazines from the 1970's. :)
I can recall seeing these some time ago ( about 35 years or more). * Am sure McDonalds did a flexi-disc at some point?
