11 years on, grateful that no one opened the door behind him.
Lol didn't even think about that
I would’ve just listened from the other side
another dooooor
when i first watched this that’s all i thought of at the beginning lol
🤣💀
It’s almost 2022 and I come back here every now and again, maybe once every year in autumn and I listen and reflect back at how time has gone by. I would listen to this about 8 years ago in my darkest days here. It’s nice to dip my toes in again just to feel it and remember what has been and gone and where I am now.
That's beautiful! Connections like that make life more living. I feel the same way, it just puts you back in that position. The smell, color, thoughts, feelings all rush back to you. I was really into title fight a while ago when I was depressed and anxious all the time. That feeling never goes away, it's always there for me. But this song always makes me feel anxious again, not in a bad way but in a way that reminds me of who I am. It's refreshing
same
Exactly this, I watched this so many times when I was a kid
Hope your doing better man, feel you
hi im here during 2022 autumn. hope our well!
Jamie's one of my guitar hero's. Hope he's still writing and playing music, dude has a crazy amount of talent.
HAZE.
@@genesis2187what does that mean? is that a band jamie is in or...??
I don’t think Jamie and the boys know the impact that was made through Title Fight.
Im 27 but 16 feels like now when I listen to them.
Thank you, guys for capturing the moment and giving us something to reminisce on.
just turned 27 in april. listening to this after a 7 day work week really fucking makes me want a time machine haha
@@slv3363 what day? i turned 27 april 18th
Can't express how much I agree with you. I am about to get 27 in September. Life's been going pretty fast lately. But with their music, it feels like I am still young and exploring the world. I've also had a hard time finding the right people to start making music myself. The problem has always been that I am a bass player. Lately I figured out that I do not need much of the external input and I could try to put the music together myself. Gonna be working on something starting next month. Let's see where it takes me. Thanks to Title Fight/Nothing/Whirr for the inspiration.
I'm 21 now, but discovered them when I was around 14-15, brings me back in a crazy way... Met Ned recently at a Glitterer show, got to tell him how much his music changed my life, he was super cool given he was dealing with a probably annoying drunk kid meeting one of his heroes haha, these guys are are absolute inspirations, all around.
jamie makes playing those chords and singing look easy, but some of those chords are a little tricky and when hes moving up the frets, and most people wouldnt be able to both sing and play at the same time. he really is a great guitarist and his vocals are brilliant too.
L0werthanzack this song is super easy to play man lol
you you can
@@jamesgoldfinch3633 ok
@@TheProDdigy good girl
@@jamesgoldfinch3633 where am i is pretty hard to sing and play it properly at the same time
Title Fight has been with me through the biggest transitions in my life. From surviving middle school, extremely tough times in high school, deaths, suicidal tendencies, and now motherhood. I hope they do a 20 year reunion. I would love to see them in concert one more time. They were the first show I saw live back in 2014 I still have the shirt
I turn 20 in five days. I feel like people my age have a lot of weight on their shoulders when it comes to assignment due dates, working overtime, getting our first bills, dealing with toxic relationships, etc. But hearing the words "This strange routine sometimes weighs down on me, but I wouldn't trade it...not for anything." sheds a lot of light on a normally depressing circumstance. I know I will never get to see these boys on stage, but their songs will forever give me hope and strength to carry on. LLTF
I really love Jaime's approach to these songs. He's using chords I never knew of before trying to learn a few title fight songs.
Massive respect for these guys, makes me so happy that they're getting a lot of attention now
it looks as if he poured his heart into both of these songs, while he played them. i love it.
This strange routine, some times weighs down on me. But I wouldn't trade it, not for anything! Love this acoustic cover
TrillMoFucka not a cover
cant cover your own song
If only I had an ounce of the authenticity he puts into his music. Truly an incredible musician.
I used to watch this video when I was so young and now I’m 20 years old about to turn 21. Life is crazy
Imagine how crazy it'll be when you're 40!
@@mynameisjohnhatfield no thank you!
I was 15 listening to this……now I’m 26. Life is crazy I would’ve never thought a 10 year old would be jamming to this at the time 😭
Can't believe this was 8 years ago.
what about now
@@vopez2894 sheesh lol
Everytime I listen to this I close my eyes and picture Kermit singing this
underrated acoustic sesh w title fight, came back 5 years later lol
Reminiscing on the Title Fight days tonight. I was lucky enough to catch them in November of 2012 in Santa Cruz, California. I'll never forget when they went into playing Safe in Your Skin, they talked about how Hurricane Sandy just ravaged their home on the east coast of the US, and all their friends were in turmoil, while they were out touring the country in a van. I've always loved this video. Thank you, John, for capturing a very precious moment in time. No One Stays At The Top Forever. Long Live Title Fight.
still tear up when i hear this. timeless.
how is this turning a decade old in a few months.. jesus christ
this video is now a 6th grader

UA-cam recommends this video first at the top of my home page. I click it nearly every time. The oohs at 0:40 are everything.
I'm glad I filmed this :)
Jamie's voice is just ohhhh so good
I’m thankful for u playing
ahhh he's so cute :) i could listen to him all day
I saw these guys on this tour in adelaide australia with Touche Amore. Totally amazing.
I can't get over this
this is so perfect
it was this video that got me into title fight.
and here i am back in 2024...
with mild depression
this makes me happy and sad at the same time
beautiful, wow
Jamie is my actual favorite
Serious Question, does someone want to remaster the audio on this? I shot it I can find the file. I honestly don't know if I used used the in built mic on the DSLR or an external mic via audio jack. A lot of people seem to like it, but I hear a lot of static.
Let me know when!
what a voice...
Cool stairwell. Wish i would have been there.
100% positive I just fell in love.
What an absolutey talented guy.
Amazing.
GORGEOUS
Absolutely gorgeous.
Alex 😍
My older sister used to take me
To a bunch of shows when I was younger, she introduced me to you guys when I was 12/13
I don't remember meeting you.
@@mynameisjohnhatfield I never met you guys sadly but I did go to a show, you guys came out to Utah
Brilliant!
dude he always sings like that, it's his style :')
Damn wish he kept that vocal melody on the intro on the record
it's because the chords that he uses are standard chords that have notes added and/or taken away. For example in Safe In Your Skin, one of the chords is a C chord but he leaves the B string open and instead hits the 3rd fret of the top E string. Its really about learning the variations of the chords.
Does anyone know If hes been making any music after the break up?? I mean Glitterer is alright but I would love to see if this guy has any solo music. Such a talented guitarist and vocalist
they never broke up
Oli they essentially did
@@oli7745 pretty sure they have essentially broken up. They all pretty much have other projects now and have said theyll only get together as Title Fight for very specific gigs
@@Gartfart_ never officially

We all do :(

They are vans rulc.
Not sure about the color though.
Why does the description say already? I'm from Kingston where they are from, and we used to listen to them in 2005.
Unless you meant another PA band doing a Blunt Session?
I guess they meant another PA band doing a Blunt Session :) But you're right, I'm still digging the stuff from their '05 demo etc.
2023
fuck yeah. i figured this out.
Too bad that it's not a VHS record
beautiful song !!
What guitar is that ?
Yeah I want to know what the guitar is as well
The guitar brand is called Ashton

Deftones covering this would be sick
@@neogauntlet1008 I can see Chino's voice fitting so well for this song
Does anybody know his tuning? I've played these acoustic for a while but in this it sounds way more open and bigger and chord focused than how I've been playing it.
lel ofc it is standard, easy to hear man :p
TAAAAAAAAAAABS
i cannot find out what chords he’s using for these songs. i’ve been listening and watching but dawg it’s so complex
where are you???
Anyone know what type of Acoustic he's playing here?
safe in your skin/where am i?
i like him even when he flips me off at 1:49
Pretty sure I was shot the bird a couple times..... Great song!
i need to marry him
Can you press this on Vinyl so I can have it....
he doesn't ever touch the third fret high e string lol. it's just c with open b string
Dude it's standard haha
