You couldn't ask for a better Week 1 game to get you pumped up for the College Football season. This was an amazing game.
Pretty much all ranked teams that's playing on the road today against a non ranked team is having a run for they money.
That's why I look at some of these teams like "why are playing on the road?" Ranked teams to the road are like signs of a potential upset!

Fumbled at the goal line and a failed 4th-down conversion. Shouldn’t have been a close game to begin with if not for turning the ball over but a win is a win. We would’ve been in the same boat as Va Tech and BC.
The ball would of been out of the Pirates zone with a score. Can't really say you would get two TDs out of that.
What about the blocked punt for a TD for NC State. Credit to special teams but ECU would’ve won if y’all didn’t get that

They didn’t score a single point in the second half…East Carolina beat themselves. But unless you were at the game you’ll never give ECU credit, there wasn’t a single pack fan celebrating in Greenville

@@nickh9632 not trying to take anything away from ECU. That goal line stand was amazing, kind of embarrassing for a Wolfpack fan, but three drives that normally end in Tds just didn't. Fumble, stop and INT. FEEL bad for you guys having one guy take away such a team effort capitalizing on NC States mistakes but that's the doghouse me as an N.C State fan has lived in for years lol, beat Clemson only to lose to wake again, list goes on and on

Pirates look good this year! Holton Ahlers looks very composed this year and his solid offensive line is giving him plenty of time. Pirates defense was exceptional and protected well against most runs and the open field. Pirate defensive line put lots of pressure on the Wolfpack QB. Pirates needed a little more run plays and some crossing patterns for their receivers to pick up short yard gains. Also, special teams need to fine tune a bit to compliment the rest. Though, overall a great game! Consistent energy and flow from both teams, from start to finish!
Favorite play of the game:
4th quarter 1022 remaining. State has the ball 4th and goal. Pirates come up with a huge defensive goal line stop for the second time!

that's 1 thing I know about FG kicks in college is that it's extremely hard incomparable to the NFL because college has to kick on the verticals on either side of possession making the timing & the awareness from defenders while trying to hit it from an obtuse angle

The Pirates are solid, tough, and athletic on both sides of the ball with senior leadership and great coaching staff. ECU will be in a bowl game this year and will cause all kinds of trouble for their opponents.
It was ugly but I will take it, GO STATE!!!

Running the ball up the middle isis insane How about a Qb bootleg . You have try somethi g different to throw off the defense . ECU probably should have one . Very fortunate to win this game. . You got to pose your will when you have the upper hand and they did not do it .
