The cvt in hybrid corollas is the only option, but it completely differerent from other brands that use CVT gearboxes. It is called an ecvt.
I wish we got the hatch/hybrid in the States, maybe next year. I'd always prefer a manual gearbox but I'd take Toyota's ecvt over a regular cvt any day. The ecvt uses a planetary gear set instead of belts & pullies in a cvt. The ecvt might possibly be one of the most reliable transmissions ever made.
I so wish we had more corollas with the 9 speaker jbl sound system like the have in the states.. Bummer about the boot space being that small for a car that big. The cvt you will eventually get used to it but personally I love the sedan version of this car
The 'CVT' is Toyota Synergy Drive (same as on the Prius for 20 years), so at least, it's reliable, unlike regular CVTs.
It's a car that's meant to be driven smoothly. In city, I'm sure you can achieve 4.0L and even lower, if you drive really smooth.
Expect 4.5-5.0 litres for combined, 6 litres highway (70mph), and 7 litres motorway (80mph). It's not as good as modern diesels at high speed but otherwise equivalent.
I don't see the point of the Hatchback personally. Yeah, it's a little bit more compact, but too many compromises.
I have the 2023 ZR Corolla hatch. I can get 2.6 litres when driven carefully
Can you please do the Suzuki Grand Vitara GLX Auto without the Hibryd All-grip
