Buenos días Laura, I will take this opportunity to let you know that I am using your channel in English lessons to landscaping adult students. I choose specific sections for their listening comprehension assignments and learning vocabulary. The visuals are great and grateful for all the details you include.
@@bethany6385 You can refresh your French and continue learning. Try the Duolingo App. I am learning French at the moment. Watch movies that you have seen in English in French with no subtitles then add subtitles. I am hoping this encourages you to keep learning.
@@myrabelgreat7740
I bet I could do that with German. I started learning German in 1999 when we unexpectedly booked a 19 day, glorious!, tour in Deutschland playing old cowboy/western music. While there, we met ppl who became lifelong friends and they have traveled here many times. The girl we met there who was dating the man who booked the tour is now in her 40s! It's been so wonderful to watch them grow together and now they have a son who's 17! They have learned English (in a Texan sort of way!😉🤣) but my Deutsch has not gone so well and I have forgotten some that I learned! 🙃 I saw this and thought it would be great to do when things get mostly settled in my gardens and I can enjoy sitting out there and learning Deutsch. Wouldn't they be surprised, if they ever get out of lockdown! 😰
Thanks for the idea!!!😘
I love that you are using these videos in this manner!
That is awesome! Hope you have a great day.
@@mariankay6482 Awesome idea, we should make that our goal! Learn a new language or re-invest ourselves in learning a new language in our gardens this summer. Cool idea and challenge! Laura keeps saying she should learn Spanish. I have some ideas for her!🤗
Who else loves it when Laura gets 'carried away'?! 👏🏻🥰🌼
I love all the pink! Almost to honour the arrival of Samantha Grace this year! 🌺 I remember the year you had done the brunnera and coleus in the window box. It completely made me fall in love with the lovely heart shape of the brunnera plant. Your experience at the garden center has given you the gift of creating stunning groupings. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas!💕🌷🌼🪴
You've been my coffee buddy for 4 years at this point! 😆
So sweet ❤️
Ha ha.. for me too. It's so great to watch her videos in the morning by myself sipping coffee.
Agreed!!
French Vanilla Cappuccino for me! 😊
I have absolutely learned so much about gardening from this channel.
I wish you all to have a great day, Blessing!
Evening tea for me 💜
I know why you emptied the window boxes originally for a good reason, but I LOVE seeing the mixes you come up with. So happy. And I think this is my favorite shade mix to date.
Good morning & happy thirsty Thursday everyone!! Have my coffee ready!!☕️☕️❤️❤️
Cheers! ☕️
☕️ having my coffee and watching my garden answers with u all 🥰 ENJOY YOUR DAY

Question : if I keep my begonia inside are they perennials?
Just jumping in here...hope you don’t mind. Yes you can treat them as a house plant. I treat anything I bring in for insects first though! 💚
Morning... Yes, they are! And the good news is that you can take cuttings from them and make more baby houseplants! 🌿
I’ve had a little begonia that was given as a gift for 3 years now.
@@barbaramclean5995 How do you multiply them with the cuttings? Do you plant the cuttings in soil or put in water to root them first?
@@tonyaperry4763 I had a small piece that broke off of my begonia, so I put it in some water and it rooted pretty quickly!
A house is just happier with plants. The second box is my favorite too.
Oh how I would love to “run to the greenhouse” and see what beautiful things you have in there, a girl can dream!!!
Good evening - watching from Australia
"Cobbled together" and "popped in"-it always looks so great. It's helpful to have shade ideas too. The colors and textures blend well together and with the plants in the garden bed.
I also notice how well it made the garden bed look as if it was tied right into the window boxes.
Made her beautiful garden keep on flowing to the kitchen door.
Have a great day!
Every upcoming video I hope it’s the „Laura feat. Mom Garden Tour“ 🍀🌱... can’t wait to see that one. 🍿is ready.
But enjoying all the inbetween ones too 😜
Same! I just love seeing them together! They remind me of me and my mom ❤️
Another Samantha Grace-inspired arrangement! Pink-ish....love it. Can't get enough of them...
I wake up for you to encourage my next project. I'm going to a nurserie Saturday an hour away so I'm very excited.
I needed this right now. The whole front of my house is shade so this helps so much. I get overwhelmed when I go to the nursery and it helps if I see things before I get there and have a plan. I need to redo my landscaping but it's hard finding shade foundation plants.
There are so many options, don’t get discouraged. Yews do really well in shade, if you’re struggling to find structural plants. The front of my house is north-facing, and it’s one of my favorite beds.
@@GardenKath that's for the tip about yews. Part of thr problem is, is that indont really understand the amount of sun it gets. It gets very little morning sun, then a tiny bit in the afternoon. It gets what I call ambient light most of the day and only for part of the afternoon is it in full shade. So it's been hit or miss what will survive there.
DITTO everything you said. ! I have the same problem. What Zone r u in? Mine is Zone7. I had English Laurels in the front. They did well for a while and died. I had them for 10 years. Now I'm looking for something different. It's really hard to find plants that look good all year and safe from deer.Local designer suggested boxwood but I already have 4 boxwoods. They look nice when healthy but I'm tired of Laurels and Nandinas. He also suggested to put plants in large planters. I think I'll try large bottomless planters which gives me wider selection and better drainage.
I am so glad you planted all the window boxes. They look beautiful and you will enjoy them so much on your evening walks. Love how the little cart turned out too.
Personally, I adore your window boxes. I think it's so magical when a house has flowers under every window! Regardless your home is beautiful ❤️
I was watching your reflection in the glass door behind you. I thought I saw an Aaron’s silhouette go by in the house, maybe carrying Samantha? But it just all seemed so real and natural with you planting flowers and filming, and him with the kids, and then you guys switching it up, and then both working together while someone else takes the kids... it’s just, well, so NOT contrived and I love that. We all love that! We love watching you do what you love!
What a wonderful transformation! I’m so glad you planted those up! I love them! I also love that they don’t match!!!
By far my favorite was the large 6ft window box. That combo is breathtaking! You do a fantastic job no matter what you’re planting but I absolutely LOVE that box!! Ty for sharing. God Bless you, Aaron and those beautiful babies!!! ~Lisa Booker
Love the simplicity of these window boxes featuring pink! Leaf textures are dreamy!
hi, my name is laura. i can't resist planting up empty space!!!!! HAAA, LOVE IT!!!
Love The window boxes Laura! Love wire vine and ferns and begonias....everything! Thanks for sharing what plants to use in the shade.💛
Laura, everything looks fresh and lovely.♡🤍🌿🌸🌿🤍♡
Those window boxes look gorgeous planted up for summer! Love the cart containers! I'm getting ideas for my containers! 😃❤🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿
I was at Lowes today and I recognized a coleus plant and it was all because of this channel! :) This channel has taught me so much about plants and gardening. I'm limited to porch containers and like everyone else, tried to my hand at growing herbs during the pandemic last year. One year later, I now I have dwarf sunflowers seedlings, snap dragons and supertunias!
Very pretty! The pop of pink makes the window boxes draw your attention. I like all the varieties you used. Good morning everyone! Coffee ☕ is ready.
This is the perfect combination I’ve been looking for!! Can’t wait to fill my window boxes with these beauties!
Thank you Laura for introducing me to all the gorgeous plants available and up and coming!!
Love your personality and the way you present your programmes. Get so much useful information, which is relevant to UK weather too. Have been watching your episodes for the last three weeks, and can’t wait to catch up! Love from Cheshire, UK.
This is my favorite type of video to watch....you putting together different types of living plants for an arrangement. This is what you do best. If Benjamin was there to say "Good job mama!" It would have been the perfect video!
No rain for weeks here in hot SE coastal NC!! I am so thankful I have been inspired by Garden Answer to install soaker hoses throughout the beds.
Same here on Maryland's eastern shore. We had just enough rain last night to do no good at all, we could use 3 straight days worth here.
I bet Benjamin would like to water those smaller window boxes on the north side of your home. Benjamin is so cute, a good little helper and has the sweetest voice😍
You have such an eye for coordinating plants. Love it!
You just know every time she says "I probably won't use all of them"..... she's going to use every one and more!!! LOVE the Eye Spy Heucherella and begonia window box...they are all beautiful!
Rise and shine Garden Answer friends! 🌞🌸☕️
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Sweet dreams! 🌚🌻
Just tickled PINK! I was resigned to missing the window boxes and thus very happily surprised with the change of plans. Beautiful as always and yet another area to look forward to seeing evolve. Thank you again Laura!
Less than 3 minutes into watching, Laura: "I'll probably go really simple though" Me: "Ha ha, yeah right." :) I'm sooooo tempted to skip to the end but I want to see all the pretties!
I had the same thought! Love it when she goes with her heart and eyes on these "unplanned" projects!!
I’m so glad you planted these! Your window boxes are my favorite part of your house exterior, and they’re what convinced me to start my drip system!
Beautiful window boxes! I do agree with you, the box with the Heucherella's and Begonias is AMAZING!!!! Such a great combination. Always interesting how you choose perennials and annuals. LOVE IT
Thank you for the inspo as usual.
Those heucherellas are gorgeous! And I love that you planted up all the window boxes. It really finishes off that side of the house!
Love the window boxes. Favorite is the first one and the 6' one. Beautiful plant choice.
Love it!! I was just thumbing through websites last night to get ideas to plant up my north facing bed that gets absolutely no sun!! Love these plants and textures. This video has perfect timing. Thanks Laura.
Beautiful Ms Laura. Have a blessed day.
Oh, these were lovely boxes and groupings.....all the colors of foliage with the pink focus...nice!
Yes! Love waking up to Garden Answer!
Glorious! I need shade plants💚
Love love love the window boxes!
Love ALL the PINK COLOR THIS SEASON💖💖💖💖💖 in honor of
Baby girl!
Love the idea of separate pots around! I could do that...
Thank you Laura for sharing your
Passion with us!
I CONTINUE TO LEARN!!!!
God Bless!

I just bought two antique hanging baskets for my north facing covered deck. I Was just talking to my friend about what kind of shade plants to put in there when I saw your video. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration. Now hopefully I can find a garden center was nice shade loving plants.
Good morning everyone ☕⚘☕🌷☕🌹
I was so inspired by these plantings! My favorite is the same as yours, those colors are totally my jam. I was also inspired to plant lungwort in a pot!!! I'm doing that today. Thank you! ❤
Just beautiful. Love the plants on the lower shelve. Nice job. Love the hucurillas.
Morning coffee is not complete without Garden Answer. You are my morning jam!!This is such a beautiful combination. Loving all the green foliage!! The wire vine has just been a favorite of mine for a while. It just winds thru so delicately. I had to hunt this year to find it. Thanks, for all your videos and sharing!!
Very pretty. I noticed in a couple of videos that the window boxes were empty, good you planted them up. Love my wire vine, it’s an evergreen perennial here.
Is all turned out to be so beautiful! I love how the color scheme carries over from the landscape across the sidewalk! I see the influence of Claus Dalby in how you put one plant per container and grouped them on the cart! Beautiful!
They are all beautiful, the second box I was instantly wowed! The the booms on the heucherella are perfect with the begonias
I could watch you all day planning out and planting. The boxes and plant cart plantings look beautiful! It’s so fun to enjoy seeing beautiful flowers and plants, so soothing and relaxing.
So glad you decided to plant up the window boxes!!! I love the double pink begonias! They add just the right amount of zing!💖💖💖
I’m in zone 5, and yes the weather has been extremely crazy lately. Thanks for tips, will go to the garden center again.
BEAUTIFUL... it show's when you got a green thumb.....love you're videos
.
Did anyone else hear Laura say she would keep it simple and laugh knowing that wouldn't happen and she would still have gorgeous window noxes?
All the window boxes are gorgeous and I love the plants on the cart. Great job Laura💗💗💗
Love love 💕 the color and texture combination of the window boxes. Making the middle 6 ft box a little more different is perfect. Using perennials in the design is my favorite part. I want to go shopping and I don’t have window boxes!
It looks so pretty. Have a blessed day
Good morning! Laura, the combinations you chose for the window boxes are beautiful! 🌿🌿🌸🌿🌸 💚
The window boxes look lovely Laura. I agree with you the use of the two plants, I Spy coral bells and the pink double begonias is just a lovely combination for the shade. I like the pink polka dot plants too. They will really be an accent once they " grow up"!
The window boxes all look beautiful. My favorite is the heucherella and begonias. Just beautiful!
That was my favorite too
“I’ll probably go very simple though” …famous last words! 😂😊
I like following all the construction! But it's so nice to watch last year's videos! All "tidy"
The gardening QUADRIFECTA this morning. Coffee with Laura, Jenny with Creekside, Erin the Impatient Gardener & Jim Putnam our Southern gentleman gardener - Laura & Aaron have you ever watched him & his expert knowledge? He’s fantastic!!! HortTube is his FB & UA-cam channel. Y’all share a true love of all things gardening!!
My goodness what beautiful color combinations! I love how the window box colors seem to be a continuation of the shade garden in front of the kitchen.
Love the window boxes! So feminine and fluffy. 🌿🌸💚
I just enjoy you so much. I have been a gardener for years, but have learned so much from you! You are so relatable and give great advice!
Also, I have window boxes all over my home, as I am German and it reminds me of my mother’s homeland in Eschwege, Germany. Most of the homes have window boxes, and I wanted my home to look the same. It’s a little bungalow home, I sit on a corner and have flowers all over my yard. Just finished planting a new hosta garden and just love hostas. Thank you for being your sweet and smart self! Always watching from Tulsa, Oklahoma!
The window planter boxes are lovely and look very nice. But you today especially look very beautiful.
Cheers to morning coffee with Laura ☕️🇨🇦
I love those colors Laura and I’m always interested in shade plants! I have a lot more of those type areas😏
So beautiful! Love that planter box!
The prettiest window boxes so far! They are stunning!
All the plant arrangements look so pretty. I love that you are showing shade hardy plants. I Really needed this video. 👍😎🌸🌻🌴☀️😀🌴- Lazy Liz Life
I think my very favorite of your window box creations. The double up begonias and hippo pink just make them look so happy
Shade plants and shade gardens are my favorites, love 💕 the way you put them together , I have a Pegasus as a house plant
Beautiful! Love those heucherellas.
💕LOVE how the window boxes turned out! I’m inspired again with the video as we have a pretty good sized covered patio on the west side of our house. Lots of sun loving plants and baskets in the patio area but I’ve been wanting more plant options on the patio. I have some ideas now! Thank you.
My favorite window design so far!! I love the cohesive look, the spontaneous nature of the project, and the pink!!
I truly love the combinations in the window boxes..
I love every single plant you used!!! It’s already so pretty even before the plants have grown!
I love the combinations of color, bloom and texture you come up with, always beautiful! Proven Winners could take lessons from you! 💕💖👍😀
I absolutely love this combo! Looks gorgeous!
Oh good morning Laura and friends 😊sunshine ☀️ coffee ☕️ and plants 🪴🌸 thank you for the inspiration!! I needed an idea for my new shady porch. Heuchera and begonia will be perfect....now if I can find some at the garden centre!! 👀
The window boxes are gorgeous. I love your pink theme. I also could not look away from your striking blue eyes! 👀
Your videos have become my morning obsession! I come away every morning with the most pleasant smile! Thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
I live in Arizona where it is HOT!!!! But due to your inspiration i have a beautiful full flowering backyard.
Laura, you've opened my eyes to a lot of beauty in nature. Had never thought about foliage texture, shape and colour.
Also, I'd like to thank Aaron for the wonderful editing of all the fantastic videos. The sound quality is excellent besides Laura's excellent diction.
Love the mix and simplicity, of these window boxes, an absolute hit💓
I don't know how you do it but again and again you prove me wrong on the most beautiful display!! Love these colors together they just blend and work and just wow. I just want to take a screen shot and use it as my wall paper!! So lovely. Thank you for all your awesomeness!!
Laura has everything I can’t get. Here in Ireland we can’t get any Supertunias, Superbenas or Superbells. Nothing special only the big standard flowers. 😢😢
Watching you plant with your winter jacket on reminds me to tell you that your cold weather just arrived in Michigan, temp dropped 20° suddenly but I got my gardening done when it was reasonable out. I use you as a weather report many times ‼️💚🌿
Again, a beautiful and inspirational video. You keep challenging us to step up our games.
Hello Laura, My husband and I enjoy watching your youtube videos. We are new to your channel and we have watched A LOT of them. 😀 Your shade window boxes are stunning. I especially like the “wire vine” plant it adds a great texture! Who knew such a little plant was just the right finishing touch - you did! Thanks for introducing me to this little gem.
Oh my! This entrance area is gorgeous. I would have to pause and admire each time I entered. 💖
Thank you. So nice to have you let us in on the spacing and number of plants
