This PNSO was one of my first purchases of their figures and still my favorite. The pose is a very natural one I call, “A Walk Interrupted”.
Having said that, I bought one of the early, washed out, ankylosaurus and was, initially, miffed at the color drop off, box image to actual product. But, it grew on me looking at it from the perspective of a dusty, “lived in” animal the same as large extant mammals look, today, after a dust bath or just traveling through dry terrain.
I had considered doing my own repaint but decided it will work, for now.
So, thanks, PNSO, for a 2nd go-round but I’m not sure it was necessary.
But I do highly recommend picking one up if you have not already bought the previous release.
Other than resin figures by Shane Foulkes and others, this is one of the best looking ankylosaur figures you’re going to find.
it's so ironic that they repainted this figure (which was lovely to begin with) but didn't decide to resize their spinosaurus 2.0
Ohh damn!! Looks beautiful. Pretty decent size as well. The paint job on top of the body is just so well done.

This brand new colour scheme of Ankylosaurus from PNSO is much fleshy than older one, however, in the same time, this colouration it still natural 😃. An Ankylosaurus from PNSO is a most beautiful Ankylosaurus model i ever seen in entire my life 😊. I wasn't able to buy the initial release and settled for the drab edition that latter followed in latter runs. I'm glad they are releasing a new paint scheme that is closer to the original and might pick up this new version because Sede is still one of my favorite PNSO models.
I like the older one more.
Honestly even after comparing it with the ‘washed out version’ of the original, this version still is not worthy of the promo images in the box.
Best Anky sculpt on the market though.

same, bought the original ankylosaurus months ago only for 2 weeks later they release the better painted version
I just got mine from Amazon but it is the original washed out version. I don't think they sell the updated version.
Were is the 2022 version??? Thanks for the tip. My 2021 version has no colors At all, only under the abdomen, so I can't wait at the 2022 version!!
How would you rate the Nanmu Ankylosaurus (standard grey version) compared to the PNSO Ankylosaurus?
Is there any way to know which one you're getting? I'd prefer the older one, if I snag one of these off Amazon is it going to basically be guaranteed to be the new one?
If I were a betting man, I would say you'd most definitely get the new one. Ebay would probably be your best bet to find the older one.

Gah. The newer one looks much worse. I'm sad I missed the (beautifully darker) first version.
