Great stuff, amazing performance! I have a question about the freeze + hands + stop at 1:04. When you returned your feet to the DL arrows for the freeze, it wasnt a standard 8th/16th timing. It was more like a 12th or somewhere else in between, and I was wondering if that was an intentional ghost step timing that you worked out, or if it was just spontaneous??
Ya I did that one on purpose. Instead of rushing the hold via an 8th note, I just go a bit slower with a 12th note. It makes that section less rushed and the timing still feels fine.
Oh I spend a great deal of time thinking about pretty much everything: ghost steps, where I will crossover, when I will use one hand on the bar for better trill control.
Did you ever try WinDeu's Stamina Killer edit steps for this song? When i was in the best shape of my life in 2006, i passed it once with an 80.02%, and then laid out on the floor for a little while. Haha. I think for precision players in the 2020's, it'll be a lot easier. Back in 2006, I muscled my way through it with maximum energy expense. 😂
@LorddMagus If you're still in shape, you should see if you can still handle it today. Lol. I do remember seeing the Stamina Killers being labeled #1, #2, etc. Pretty sure Monolith was #1. Speaking of WinDeu, his first video getting a 96% on Driven inspired me to play that non-stop course for years. I think best i ever did was about 98.30% with about 130 excellents. That course had continuously changing modifiers, so you looked like a boss of you could keep up with the strange movement. Pandemonium, Energizer, Monolith, and One False Move! I'd love to see you try to get a 99% on that. I also tinkered with my own course on StepMania, using the same programmable changing modifiers. I Found a really fun one, where if you flip the arrows around to over 300%, they dissappear below the horizon, and then come back up the other way, backwards, like you're literally looking at the backside of the arrows. So it appeared that the up and down arrows had switched places. (If you used circles, you couldn't tell the difference for normal play; but with arrows, they were just pointing the wrong way, and you had to ignore it) 😆
LOL I thought you'd get it soon, but not this soon! I think you will have the remaining songs quadded before too long as well! You got !, Clockwork Genesis, Utopia, all the 12s except VerTex and Delirium, and all the 13s left, and that's it, right?
Its nice to see people who play ITG the legit unmodded way with real timing and on DDR pads. I think a lot of exisiting scores should be taken down or not counted if they have timing modified and have other mods on or off that make the game easier. The old school way is the right way to play, anyone else who thinks otherwise is a hack of a player.
