But bear in mind that these are still wild animals and do not approach them when there is no 'friendly signal' especially during mating season. When they are in friendly mode, it could even climb on you and sit on your shoulder like a cat.
For more chill and tranquility, Langkawi is too much hustle and bustle. Try Pulau Pangkor in Perak next, its perfect for relaxing time and relax - also duty free island. The journey itself is fascinating where there is no airport there. You can take a bus to Lumut or ETS to Ipoh and bus to Lumut and from Lumut jetty take a boat to Pangkor Island. Just make sure where is the best to stop nearer to your place of accommodation because I think there were 2 stops there. I haven't been there for a long time (last was 2017 I think) so I am not too sure.. and rent a scooter to roam around the beautiful tranquil laid back island there.
