It must be horrible for some people to find themselves in hospital in America. Hospitals there are run as a business, not a place of medical help, by the Administrators. I've heard stories of people having to take out loans or mortgage/sell their homes to pay for hospital treatment. Not everybody can afford to pay, most especially poor people so, if they're ill and can't pay, what do they do? Just die? That is medieval torture. I am so glad to be living in an enlightened country where peoples' health is more important that money.
Are you implying having the government oversee health care actually causes humane Healthcare? What utter nonsense! Who do you think pays for it! The government has no money of their own, it's our money they dole back out, only they decide who gets what if anything! The borrower is always servant the lender! Nothing in life is free! And if we hand over our health care decisions to a government that too often only cares about filling their own coffers, we see too often atrocities happen! And you have a definite misconception of healthcare in America! Well before the government took over with President Obama's affordable care act where many of us now can no longer get care!
very true, I fully support having an universal healthcare system as well as other social programs. The US doesn't take care of its people like other first world counttries.
@@GaryRoseCO That's because the US is a third world country where money counts more than human life. I used to live there until moving back home to a more enlightened country and remember living in fear of getting sick there. Something i don't have to worry about here.
Riverside is the Frank Burns character from MASH. Like MASH they have dedicated doctors, and patient stories, hijinx by staff and some weasely guy who is always trying to catch the leads not doing their job, but they are too clever.
Gonzo old friend son is played by Jason hervey this is his first appearance on trapper John md much later he played Kevin Arnold big brother on the wonder years and before the wonder years he played one of Arnold Jackson friends different strokes
Willard Hornsby played by Paul lambert he is long time friend of marlon Brando he starring in supported roles on flim and television he was on trapper John md in the early days of the show
I loved this as a kid and I still love it. However, as an adult, I notice some stories don''t make sense. Like the Vet would never get upstairs in a room without having gone through an exam and tests in ER. Doctors want to know why they are keeping someone for more tests, observation, treatment or surgery before they give you a room. Hospitals are expensive. Much more but I just laugh at what I notice now vs 40 yrs ago
I love Trapper. Thank you!

So wie es aussieht wird es sich auch hier ändern. Die Spar Maßnahmen sorgen dafür. Alles wird sich verändern. Leider.😮

Hey the actor who played Mary Jo 's ex-husband on Designing Women is in this episode.
This show is #1 but Dr. Riverside doesn't have to be so hurtful at times This get #1 in my book!

He looks like Haley Joel Osment as a kid.
Thank you for posting this!! I knew he looked familiar, just couldn't place it.
Jason Hervey is adorable!
Gonzo's smile!
Oh so thank you, again!
Too bad they don't make shows like this anymore. Instead they're all remakes, fakes, & bad acting.

29:40 - She says, "Will the real eight year old please stand up" and I immediately started singing Eminem in my head. Lmao
This episode made a reference to the original show.
Who's the actor that plays his friend?
Richard Gilliland. I commented on it.
That kid looks a little familiar
Jason Hervey from The Wonder Years.
This is really cool and funny
Why is the sound quality so horrible?
Because 1979
@@user-zc9pq1bz6n no. I saw another episode someone else posted that was nice and clear
@@Lori_L I've seen episodes recently with no sound at all, by this uploader. Very disappointing.
Love this show, but the picture quality is poor and the sound wasn't good either.
And it's free.
And it's not available on dvd.
And it was probably recorded on videotape on a VCR from the original tv show.
So?
