I hope you don't stop making videos, they're very entertaining!
Thank god i finally found a helpful video, just got a minibike with a similar engine, thank you
I was looking how to make my mini bike faster and this helped a lot thanks!!
Great job you got an extra 10 mph with just 20 bucks.I like the way you explain things. The copper washers are great.Do you think I can use copper washers for my 212 hemi engine?Or should I just buy better value springs. The new project is great.
Thanks! Depends what you're doing to the engine. I've used shims with 22lb springs in the 9000 rpm budget build, but honestly those stock predator springs rate all over the place from 12-17. Shims will help for stage 1, but only depending on where the springs are at now. Just the cheap way to get a little extra out of them for low performance mods.
I topped mine out at 49 with a stock engine with a high flow air filter and clutch. Has like to torque though
I like the suggestion of picking up a set of metric copper sealing washers. I can see slipping that in at the next valve lash verification on my 196.
i got the rb100 yesterday and i love it
Thanks for the get video! I’m 68, old school street racer, but no nothing about these small engines. We just got a Coleman 105 last night out of the box. Put it together, serviced it. Started it, and it had a fine rattle around the pull rope area, seemed like? Any ideas. Haven’t gave it to him yet. Can’t stand not knowing what the fine rattle is. Thanks again, Ronnie, East Tennessee
I put a paperclip on the spring that goes from the top of the governor arm to the carb throttle so it wont pull back (on the small Coleman's, Motovox, & monster moto) and it goes about 36. You could also use small wire even zipties
That's very impressive for that lil motor...well done!
im running a stock motovox 80cc gov removed over 3k miles rusted flywheel an magnet still hits 4o mph i wanna try that spring spacer thing alreasy got a header on her an then i have my DuCar212 on standby
Do you have a link to that bigger carb. Great video, modifying my coleman now.
Great stuff here thank you! Do you have any content for a torque converter on a smaller 97/105cc engine?
Hi. Great videos. Nicely narrated. I'm considering these mods for my RB100. What's the reason for keeping the throttle cable connected to the control panel lever and using the governor spring and governor arm to open the carburetor butterfly?
Wouldn't there be a benefit of attaching the throttle cable directly to the carburetor butterfly lever? Maybe more precise throttle control?
I seriously question that RB105. I have the actual Monster Moto 105 and it was doing 29mph right out of the box, with throttle screw removed. I bypassed the governor and can reach 36mph by my GPS app. I also weigh 230 pounds.
I have a Colemanct100u minibike and so far I changed The front and back Metal fenders to plastic also the metal that holds the chain guard on i cut that off for less metal Also for in the future just in case I want to go bigger with the engineI i took the gas tank off I have a plastic gas tank now I put a straight pipe and filter kit that’s in the video I broke the screw off that slows it down from going fast I have a 65t aftermarket sprocket I change the way the throttle cable was hooked up and modified it so my throttle goes directly to the governor next im going to port the head put stronger springs and port out for more airflow for the
Exhaust
Could we use the 18lb valve springs from a 79cc predator in place of the copper washers for the valves?
How do you think this engine would do with a Series 30 CVT /Green spring and 14/15 front sprocket? What would you suggest for rear sprocket?
Best video I've seen like this 👏
That air filter that is in your description will it work on a stock engine??
Bro i engine swapped a mini bike and messed up the throttle linkage so i just hooked it up to my brakes
Can you do a tutorial of how to get the air filter out and clean it
Pull the bottom of the air box up and towards the back to unsnap it. Pull the foam pad out. Squash it a few times under warm clean water. Let it dry and put it back in. Don't use soap.
After these mods do you think this bike would be decent for offroading? I'm about 140lbs and interested in this bike
Better than it was. Torque went up highly. For hill climbs still a little weak, but better than it was. Also, these mods can pertain to near any engine.
Diggin the duck tape instrument cluster lol! Nooiiiice!
What is the top speed if you remove the throttle stop screw? you mentioned 22 out of the box.
Best intro ever
What forks did you use?
Mine wont start after doing all this. Should I set the valve clearance after installing copper washers? I didnt readjust the valves because they were screwed all the way down already. Looked pretty loose though
Yes, need to readjust valve clearance to .003. also, depending on fuel used you may need to increase the pilot/low speed jet size to draw in fuel to help starting.
@@megoingfast Running now, thanks. Little boggy, but I am waiting in new exhaust and carb.
@@ProToolReview new carb will still need high and low speed jets adjusted for it. The predator 212cc engine low speed jet is the perfect size for 91 octane.
Sorry do you know of any aftermarket exhaust that can devert fuels under seat and quite it down some?
There are "weenie pipes" made that are a similar fit you can modify to work, but hard to come by for the direction you're looking for. The "weenie pipe" has a muffler on a header.
I need help bro what type jackshaft i.need to.get for rt 200
What kind of speedometer do you use
Coul u do that same engine with a slight compression bump and timeing advanced key. Port the head while u have it off.
The RPM limit with the timing advance will be close to critical with that flywheel. Unknown pressure for the rod. The flywheel can take the level it's at due to it being smaller diameter but spinning it a couple k faster is unknown tolerance.
I drilled a 1/2 hole in the muffler like you showed, but now it won't idle. Is there a way to adjust the stock carb to help this?
The jet information in the video can be used for the stock carb. Drill as specified in the video, absolutely needed. Then, if you need idle help, the stock predator idle/low speed jet will fit in the stock carb and is a good size upgrade.
@@megoingfast hopefully not too late. Help me out here. My rt100 carb only has a brain bold on the bowl. Not a removable bolt centered on bottom. Can't take off. Recommendation with stock carb?
How did you get the spark arrestor out? I cant get it out.
A pick similar to dental pick that has a hook. Twisted it hard and it ripped out.
Great info I wanted to do this with my db30 but I put a coleman 196 on it
Yeah, lots of people throwing out those little engines. Some of them you can get up to 5-6hp without much money. Can use the same tricks on the larger engines as well. People used to drill mufflers in high school all the time for their cars.
@@megoingfast my plan was make a header out of scrap pipe and govner delete that's usually all I ever do I know it's probably lean but I don't mind 😂😂
Can you engine swap the engine with a 212 predator
yes, but it will take a little work for a couple of the frames. Don't cut the frame, there are ways to alter how the engine sits, and different air intake and exhaust are needed.
I have a cc100x had 98 cc 3 horse looks like a 79cc predator.
CAN you drive it in winter
I just rode it in the snow a couple weeks ago. I slid around a LOT in 6" of snow. The other bike I did the studded tires video I use primarily on snow and ice.
I tried to ride mine in about 8" fresh snow...... Immediately dumped it on it's side, (not being used to the twist throttle) I kinda forgot to let go, while doing the splits and spinning a 180°+ . It was HILARIOUS!!! 🤣
And now for my next trick!!! ✨ 🔮
But what if the throttle stop screw is wielded on there?
Great question! I use a drill bit to remove the screw head, then put a different screw on there!
When do I change the oil?
After an hour of use the first time. Then, about 30 hours or so ride time non synthetic. 50 for full synthetic. If you don't put that many hours on in a year than once or twice a year.
To the OP: When are you gonna swap a dual-fuel carb on that 80-105cc, and hit 9000-rpm on propane? And then finally go for 10,000-rpm with a cam & header? ;)
Could you please give you the link to the carb?
That one is no longer available under the link I have. This one looks the exact same by image as the one I had bought : www.amazon.com/dp/B079NWSXLN
I have a 196cc engine. And I'm getting a stage 1 kit
What brand is the 105cc engine
I thought so I have a 79cc lifan on my bicycle looking for a bigger engine thanks
CAN i put a straigth pipe
Sure thing! You can add a lot of different mods. Cost goes up, potential to blow up if not upped on flywheel and piston rod goes up too. This was just a cheap way to get a lot out of an engine that most people would otherwise discard.
Free cost money, who knew?
35mph stock rb100 with governor screw gone
Mine goes 42mph. I have the ct100u!
Mine goes 37mph
That's fast
really a helmet.. cant watch iam out
Hey how much louder is the muffler once drilled?
Nice work bro, that engine was pretty impressive out of the box imo. It was moving you pretty good for “1.77” hp. Never seen that copper washer trick before iether. Real nice! Keep it up
