- This video showcases all new enemies added in the "Spitshine Update" of the Fiend Folio mod for The Binding of Isaac Repentance. It adds enemies for multiple floors as well as new "tainted" enemies which will be ordered by floor number.

Beacons are an abomination and I hate them already ^^'
Also, I love the genius that is the programming of "Sloth's Head". It is just a recolor of the already existing enemy "Black Globin Head" which is just perfectly on theme :D
Edit: FYI the Shine Spit is supposed to drop a ton of coins and turn the current room golden on death. It seems like it just bugged out for me and I sadly wasn't aware of it when recording.
Not just the programming, but the name as well. All the other sin heads have unique names, but sloth's head is just called "sloth:s head". Its hilarious

Ah, sorry! Shine spits only have the wacky effect if they're subtype 1. I was originally planning on having them as a rare joke enemy with the behavior shown, as well as the random chance variant with all the coins, but decided against it cause I thought it might be confusing.
There is a gold bomb fly and portal gary!
The best thing about tainted enemies was always, that some random fly would get turned into a brutal death machine.
Not really death, more torture.
Cock and Ball torture, without the Cock and Ball.
It's cool that they added more sin heads to match the greed ones.
The funny thing is Pillar John was added way before Pizza Tower was released in-dev. One of my fave enemies though designing rooms for!

golden enemies drop a lot of coins and freeze enemies (midas touch) for 30 sec and turn the screen gold weird how it didn't happen here tho
Yeah sry for that, I only learned about that after i uploaded the video. I would have asked a dev why it didn't trigger for me otherwise. Maybe it only happens if it spawns naturally. OR maybe it got messed up in the small patch FF got a few days ago directly after the spitshine patch. Either way, I reported it.

The mini sins in the Catacombs add some much needed feeling to that area. I always associated the Catacombs with the Sins since Wrath of the Lamb was when I started playing the game and there wasn't much else to remember the area for, probably just a coincidence but a very nice touch to me. I also love how Sloth's Head keeps with the whole "lazy" design of Sloth's sprites just being recolors.
Imagine if you can chaos card pillar John and that activates a timer, then in any random room more enemies reensembling John start attacking you
and if the timer runs out it spawns mom's shadow

What I really love about you guys' enemy designs is that most of them feel like extensions of what's already in the game, or even like things that should've been in the base game, and in some ways it makes the game feel more complete.
The sheer creativity of the fiend folio devs never fails to amaze me. How do you even come up with stuff like this???

Great, after the boss Boney now a Clotty with a shielding fly and homing shots. FF likes to buff my most hated enemies xD
Imagine if you Chaos Card Pillar John and then "It's Pizza Time" from Pizza Tower plays as you try to get to the end of the floor before a timer runs out.
When i saw in the patch notes that pillar john was added, i originally thought it was gonna be a sorta mechanic where shooting at him starts a timer, and if u dont clear the room before that time runs up, then pizzaface spawns and starts chasing you around dealing contact damage.
Unfortunately it has little to do with his actual mechanic, like reheated pizza. kinda disappointed but i appreciate the references!!

If for some really specific reason Edmund decides to make another dlc for Isaac, i really hope the fiend folio devs get the same treatment like the antibirth devs got
it would be really nice, but Ed has said that Antibirth is the only major Isaac mod that fits in his creative vision
@@yurifairy2969 wacky. if you go item by item, enemy by enemy, antibirth violates more than fiend folio, not to mention that antibirth was making its own story, fiend folio doesnt force anything.

@@yurifairy2969 dude ive literally gone item by item. considering the entirety of the game is you literally encountering your own fears, as has been confirmed and is able to be deduced by playing the game, fiend folios content makes perfect sense.
Meanwhile, antibirth has many inconsistencies in the items alone. and it got into the main game. if antibirth is allowed, fiend folio is basically vanilla. and yes im ignoring memes

i usually really don’t like fiend folios designs, since they don’t fit in with original isaac that much, but this update they did pretty good with that. i especially love the sin heads

@@ouravantgarde yes i have. a lot of their designs have things that i wouldn’t necessarily ever see in isaac, such as full body hazmat suits and guns n stuff on enemies. Isaac usually has a lot more organic monsters than these, rarely ever using tools or clothing, and usually sticking with the theme of strange bloody/gorey monsters with the occasional demonic/angelic imagery.
The mod overall is phenomenally coded and a lot of work was put into it, i just don’t enjoy the designs that much.

GOD why can't I get this mod to work on my copy of Isaac it LOOKS SO GOOD
These are mistakes I found out I had done a couple days ago, but here are a few things you might not have done.
Have you downloaded both the Fiend Folio Reheated mod and the Custom Stage API mod? Do you play on Repentance? Repentance is Fiend Folio Reheated and if you are on Afterbirth+ it is just Fiend Folio, without the Reheated. Are both of the mods turned on in your Mods menu? Also, make sure the mods are turned on on the file you want to play FF on. Finally, the mod needs a certain update of the Custom Stage API, so if yours hasn’t updated then maybe try deleting and then re-downloading Custom Stage API? Hope this helps cause these are the only issues I could think of :D
@@THE_funnyalt I downloaded both, play on the most recent version of Repentance, have both mods enabled and the most current versions of both. If I disable FF it boots fine but the moment I turn on FF specifically the entire thing locks up and crashes.

IMO if you have 2.00 speed or any charge/lunge move (like black pony) it should give you the reheated pizza item, but force you to get back to the first room while fighting newly spawning enemies and when the timer runs out mom’s shadow comes
It seems like isaac's sick fears and imagination turning his nightmares into stronger entities... Wow.
The best thing that SlayXc has is that he doesn't really give himself OP items to fight those enemies, I only saw Sad Onion and Steven, that's pretty much it

You forgot to add some enemies that were also added to Fiend Folio. These include Temptress, Wasty, Onlyfan, Heartbeat, Forgotten Fetus/Lil Al, Skitter Skull, Trailblazer, Chili, Litling, Dumptruck, and some others that I might be forgetting.

Sloth's head is already made, with the irony of him having no original name and being a *lazy* reskin of another enemy.
Is it just me, or are the big gapers the only monsters that lose you if you hide behind obstacles

Mag Enemies aren't exactly Tainted Enemies, they've got a bunch of rooms in Ascent Basement as well but they're a separate enemy type

Played fiend folio for first time last week and holy shit it makes the game lag like crazy. I have a fast computer and GPU and still it starts chuggin' the second I get some of the modded items going.
