Converting a Transformer is basically Glory Killing it into another form
Also, the lion claw thing, that’s actually accurate to the show. Yes, in Beast Wars II, the Lion arms are jutting out of the robot arms. And yes, Lio Convoy does use them as weapons even in the robot mode.
So you’re saying this is a rare instance of takara making a 100% show accurate robot mode without a backpack or some shitty quality control issues? Hell yeah!

It’s funny how the Original’s lion mode had less visible Kibble...
Lion typhoon was something you'd see in the original(old version). It had a red button at the back of its head and the mane would spin violently, I literally got cuts as a child handling that toy.

"Beast Wars II" was okay from the few episodes I saw. Even then, I only cared about seeing which animal forms appeared in that show and its sequel "Beast Wars Neo."
With that said, that Lio Convoy toy looks great, at least in robot mode.
The beast mode doesn't look too bad, but most beast modes are gonna have some kibble visible
Lio and Galvatron are the only original molds in II. Neo has all original models.
It's mid, only good parts are the Decepticons and Jointrons. Lio Convoy is too bland and boring a character all through the series...
Amazing editing, meticulously detailed review yet still manage to not be boring like a lot of toy reviews channel ,enjoyable as well as hilarious, frequent upload schedule. I just got traumatized by a horror manhwa and Jobby still managed to reset my mood to happiness with just a video.

The Lio Viewnt is actually a mistranslation of "bute" which was a whip-like weapon wielded by AkaRenger in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. In layman's terms, the Lio Viewnt is an extending whip attack.
This makes me feel like they might make an MP Big Convoy
That would be awesome. That way we can have the 3 Maximal leaders. Primal, Leo and Big convoy.
The Original Figure holds up well, so I’d almost consider it an MP.

I actually very enjoyed Star Saber in IDW, bigoted crusader zealot instead of generic ,,good guy father figure" was a seriously cool concept. Shame he had so little screen(panel?)-time and went out like a pussy
It looks more like a toy than any other Masterpiece release I've seen. Honestly, Galvatron fit perfectly standing alongside it

Yes a good version of armada optimus would be great especially his super mode. I always loved and wanted to get that toy until I saw that his trailer legs were just a glorified stand to set the top onto.
@@Tahu33446 Takara showed a Generations Armada Prime at a con a couple years ago. Unfortunately we haven't seen anything since then which really sucks since it looks like he was going to be able to combine with his trailer.
A new Armada Megatron that Isn’t a repaint would be nice.

Well the real meat prolly lies in Beast Wars Neo, which gave us surprisingly refreshing take on Maximal-Predacon leader personalities (Big Convoy is a 2edgy4u loner, while Magmatron is a professional military commander who treat his troops with respect)

I know it may be an slightly off-topic idea, but i'd like to see Jobby's knowledge of transforming designs (ie how it gets from a to b). It always seemed genius, to me, and since Jobby has done a bit of designing of his own, it would be cool to know where you start and how you figure out the transformations.

The whole thing with the minifigures makes me laugh, especially since I have some Diaclone Reboot figures, and the minifigures don't crumble into pieces at all.

so in the show, they pronounce "lio" convoy as "lie-oh". this is also the case with "liokaiser" which is formed by "leozack". so leo is the traditional "leeo" and lio is "laio".also, beast wars second has the best transformers theme song with "super voyager". i recommend watching the series if you're interested in more of the lore and to see what japan did with all the beast wars toys

Lio Convoy have a gorgeous design, pretty much the perfect anime Optimus. Like Jobby I tried to get into Beast Wars II, but honestly I either just get bored or I want to murder every character on screen, no in between.

I actually did watch the show because it was on tv when I was a kid. Was so confused because in America I watched normal Beast Wars but in Taiwan it showed this. Remember it had a kick ass opening theme song.

I just got mine today and he looks amazing. That said, I have to thank you Jobby for the transformation segments of your video. I nearly had a panic attack transforming him while following you along. I can't image what it would be like if I had tried to do so by following the directions.
The Masterpiece figures look great (for the most part) but so many of them have at least some parts that feel so fragile that once transformed I can't see myself wanting to transform them ever again. Most of the time it boils down to leaving them in robot mode because that gives me the character I love like Starscream, while if I wanted to display a jet, I could buy a model of a jet.
