Amazing! Thank you for this run through. I'm getting a quote on one from my local espresso retailer - highly likely I'll purchase. The pre-infusion is an excellent feature. I have a relatively new HX and I find that it steams aroudn 1.5 bar. Milk is fine. But then I increase boile temp to max, it hits 2.1 bar, and WOW the milk is great. Howver, it is essentially a single boiler because I have to increase/decrease temps and brew and steam separately. Otherwise my water temp would be 100c if I leave the steam at 2.1 bar. My advice to people: get a dual boiler and be done with it. HX is a lot of fussing about. Can do great shots, but with fuss. Elizabeth looks easy in comparison
Thanks man, I thought HX would mean I get the best of both worlds, but this is exactly what I'm trying to avoid.. having to do each separately.. sounds like I'm going to get a dual broiler then!

Hi first of all how big exactly is your cup? 300ml of mil top up with 40ml espresso you need atleast 370ml cup that is an unusual cup size. Anyway, i would say 1100 watt will struggle for sure if you are planning to do it non stop 4 pitchers in a row, but this is also impossible as you will need time to make coffee as well and during preparing your 2nd shot service boiler will be ready again
Hi! I bought an elizabeth coffee maker and maybe you can advise me how to set the correct pid.I usually brew flat white. What temperature is right, how many seconds of extraction, boiler steam temperature,pre-infusion seconds etc. Thanks!
Thanks for the great video. I really like the machine, my only concern is the coffee boiler size. For me it's more than enough but I can imagine guests coming over and "ordering" 3 cups of lungo or cafe crema (and with this I mean coffee as long as 200 ml which is really common here in Germany). How fast does new water in the boiler heat up? Brew temperature is less important in this scenario.
Hi do you guys really make lungo up to 200ml? wow thats alot of coffee to extract. But yeah that is a good question, this coffee boiler only 350ml, so if that is the case perhaps you should consider Bianca. However having said this, that small 350ml boiler is heated with 900 watt heater which i think gonna heat up really fast less than 5 minutes
@@StefanusGoana Thanks for your answer! Well... I usually don't, but it's really common here (that's what you get when you simply order "coffee" at a cafe). You can imagine how it tastes ;) Do you think marax would make any difference here?
@@wpaciorek at cafe they make americano, so they do espresso base then mix with hot water, so in this secenario when you do americano you will only use about 50ml of Hot water from coffee boiler, then another 150ml from your Service boiler. MaraX should have the same problem if you draw too much water from it, so again if you need to make more than 2 cups then perhaps get hot water from a kettle
Great, thank you very much! I guess that's the solution. And still, they really do it here: "In Germany it is generally known as a "Café Crème" or just "Kaffee" and is generally the default type of black coffee served, unless there is a filter machine(...)It is produced by running 180-240 millilitres (6.3-8.4 imp fl oz; 6.1-8.1 US fl oz) of water when brewing an espresso, primarily by using a coarser grind" (Wikipedia, "Cafe Crema"). Hi yes you have the option to turn off service boiler. In my opinion if you make espresso with 50grams of water those water that run to your puck will be the exact temperature that you want.
