@@charlieempire7733 it's because they can get away with it due to the stake's fast attack speed, each hit you do to a Shambler protects from being grabbed or punched for a whole second, the stake's swing rate allows you to abuse this against multiple Shamblers, even a dumb priest that keeps backshoting your musicians will be able to protect himself better than a seasoned player due to it, one of the hidden strengths of the stake over other weapons.
@@HenAnt True but if you lag even once when fighting against a horde, you’re dead. Because of the stakes very small range, it’s a lot less safe to use when compared to the saber or any other melee weapon. Delicious leg is still peak though!
@@yrovas9277 not really no, the new lag compensation system after the update make even playing at 300 ping hard to get grabbed by Shamblers in general (speaking from experience). I can't even remember the last time I was grabbed as priest after the update.
The excorcism crucifix is still laughingly bad, it needs to make the zombies much slower, have an increased usage timer, take fewer hits to charge, and not make the user so slow. Also chaplain as a whole still isn’t good, it’s useful to have, but the person who plays as a chaplain will see it as a chore, rather than a fun experience. Also the blessing prompts are super annoying when they bug out, as time is needed and it can’t be wasted by trying to bless or mercy a teammate, and it not working.
Divinity is my personal choice, too. Here's why -there are times when teammates who get infected once get infected again, and the immunity saves you from using another blessing -easy to recharge if you're in a situation with lots of shamblers -on paper, the blessed's infection won't go any higher anyway, so the reduction in infection and timers won't matter too much(I haven't had much experience with this) some cons tho: -if you're unlucky, there will be no zombies to recharge the divinity. And if you aren't able to charge it fast and enough and a teammate gets infected? GL -you can't spam click through your teammates to find an infected person using blessing since divinity works on those who aren't infected -red eye. Idk. Can blessing heal that? If so, then divinity can also heal it, just might require multiple uses(?)
Exorcism can have nearly twice as much uptime than the Crucifix if you swap it out before the bar hits 0, it generally has a 25 second cooldown when you use up the entire bar but if you swap it out it becomes a 5 second Cooldown, and since it only takes 15 hits to get a full bar meaning if you swap it out in time it takes 14 or less hits, mathematically it takes you 5 to 8 seconds to fill up your bar again due to the fast swing speed of the stake and if you are skilled enough to get it that quick, so at most that's 13 seconds of Cooldown or at best 10 seconds rather than full 25 the Crucifix gets, and remember you don't get your charge back unless you fully deplete the bar with that thing. That's why Exorcism has a pretty good niche to fill, the DPS Chaplain, it's overall better for supplementing the Frontline damage of the team than relying on a reliable yet longer cooldown stun, also rewards front lining with the Chaplain more rather staying in the back without a ranged weapon to recharge, another thing to note is that Exorcism will save teammates from getting grabbed by normal shambs but not runners. And lastly, left swing is the best for headshots, overhead is useless unless you want to "Bless" your teammates from behind, lol.
counterpoint to the first paragraph: Why make it have a cooldown at 0 in the first place? When you need to abuse (what I assume is) a bug to improve an item's efficiency, why not just make the bug a full feature, its not like it would change much in regards to the class. Maybe make the crucifix need a bit more damage if it ends up too strong but its hard to make it stronger than the stock crucifix so I doubt it would be needed
@@Mordeczka1234 because it wasn't a bug, it was intended, the Exorcism Cruxi is a ramp up damage weapon that ramps up damage slowly until it suddenly spikes up rapidly ripping the Shamblers apart, remember it needs to be recharged before being used again, after the 3rd rework where they nerfed for being too broken vs runners, they calculated it so that the only last few ticks will finish of the shamblers on most objective maps, and no, try it for yourself, you'll be surprised at how good it is.

To counter the bug of players to being able to interact with you healing, blessing and mercy. All you have to do is walk 5m away from them and try the interaction again.
The thing with stale is that a priest isn’t allowed to make a person bleed so they would have to use a light weapon like the stake. In that case the deli leg works too. Which means priest can have a CLUB!!!!

6:29 for some reason the mercy ability has a cooldown and the only was to know it is by pressing F9 to open the dev console and if you remove the warning and error and scroll down the mercy ability is called something like cansetpart true I think might gonna need to renew this. Also you can’t recharge your crucifix meter by using a divinity book and the same goes for the exorcism crucifix which u can’t use your blessing to recharge. But from what I have experienced with the mercy ability is that you just click on it when you need it so try to only use it when you need too or else I think it will bug. Well hope you find this weird ahh explanation useful :D

the stake is okay if you spam downswing and jump frequently, the downswing lets you turn into a weak, though effective woodchipper against small crowds, and headshots still instakill.
i do experience the same issue as well, even by spamming it doesnt fix the prompt just zoom in and zoom out or or click while zoomed in or smth, that works for me
Interaction prompts in G&B is overall inconsistent, sometimes the game won’t let you click at all, sometimes the prompt immediately disappears after you click and depending on where you are positioned it will not accept the prompt either.

The priest blessing and mercy not properly working isnt just you. I used to be a priest main (still play it a bit) and that would be very annoying. Its probably roblox with the popup thing because the G&B voice lines occur

They are honestly some of THE best melee fighters in a server.
Bcs having a priest means you have some skill as you need to get the priest + priest mains are mostly very experienced players bored of normal classes

you can recharge the crucifix by blessing/doing mercies. It just isn't as efficient as killing zombies
