Church size doesn't equal God's favour, except you are motivated by the materialistic impulse animating this great enemy of Christ. Oyedepo always inserts himself into the sermons. Everything is about him. Which is to be expected because he's the only one who has profited from this venture.
Now back to a little known idea propounded by a philosopher, that is, a dying institution obsesses over grandiose architectural masterpieces. It makes sense when you think about oyedepo's trajectory. At the twilight of his life, suffused with massive funds, yet restless because he has no God in hs life to sate his impulses, what is he to do? You guessed it. He embarks on a grand building project to massage his massive but fragile ego. He has become a victim of his success. A fitting end to a life of scamming.
