The most amazing thing about this isn’t just the technicality, but the fact you can practically hear the entire song from just the drums alone. His drum composition skills were off the charts.

I feel like the bell/china pattern in the solo is so overlooked. It’s one of my favorite beats to play. And the simple fill in the outro too. In a song loaded with difficult fills, that one at 4:52 is so tasteful.
A song doesn't necessarily have to have vocals to be good enough for a song. As much as I enjoy Shadow's singing, im perfectly entertained with just the drum track. Personal preference though. Regardless, I see the point your trying to make
Even though it's not my favorite song by them,, I love everything about Bat Country. But Matt's singing is iconic and he is a legend.
I hated this song originally because of Matt’s vocals (IiiieeeeIiieeeieee shit sucked). But always said the drums were phenomenal on here. Everything else grew on me as time went on.
Let's not forget The Rev was one of the greatest drummers of all time. He turned the drums into a staple of the songs, rather than a rhythm maker and timekeeper. You listen to any other band's drum tracks and you'll never know what song it is.

I’ve always wanted to be a drummer when I grew up and whenever I hear a song, I always make sure there is actual good beat to the song and shit does this beat suit this song? Wow, I don’t really know if there ever will be a favourite avenged sevenfold song ever, but for me this is the best drum playing out of all Avenged Sevenfold songs. I mean don’t get me wrong. All of the other beats are fucking incredible! But if I had to choose ONE song that had the best drumming in it, it’d be Bat Country.

Actually, a very simple and very easy fill once you're comfortable with the pattern - especially if you have a double bass pedal. Right hand, left hand, right foot, right foot, repeat.
Sounds cool though.
I'd have to figure out how to get my feet out these concrete blocks that grew over them in the last 20 years to get my foot speed back up.

@DrumLgend01 In original drum track at "to drive all through the night" and "the barren empty sights" parts Rev playing Crash + China.But in this drum track it goes only China :) And in this track kicks little bit slowly.The drumkit that played this track may be the rev's one of old kit.Because tones are very smilar to original drum track.I don't say that this track is bad , actually it's pretty good but as you know rev's track always better :)
