I live in Richmond & I used to work in Tilbury; the commute in the morning going South across the tunnel wasn't so bad, but the commute coming back into Richmond after work was HELL. 😭
@@JesseS-ns2vy I see what you mean although most of the rising crime, homeless, & drug in Richmond is mainly happening in City Centre/North Richmond, in Steveston area it's still really safe & quiet over here. I highly doubt any homelessness/drug use is gonna make it's way down to Steveston anytime soon.
Your video happened to show up on my feed so I was curious. Your 5 worst things about living in Richmond, to me is tolerable. What is the worst thing about living in Richmond are the people, especially Asian people. I'm Asian, born in Hong Kong and raised in Canada for the past 45 years and I have never seen so many rude, ungrateful, self entitled people all in one place. Makes me ashamed and sad. I bought my mom a condo on Ackroyd Rd. and couldn't wait to sell it and move her out to Burnaby. Mind you, Burnaby has their own issues and similar types of people, however, the area is spread out a little more so the interactions may not be as severe.
One of the worst things about living in Richmond is the ability to even live in Richmond with the prices of real estate. You'd need to have a household income of 200k+ to even afford an actual home anywhere including surrey, burnaby, ladner and vancouver. So if you're a blue collar worker, teacher, any person who has a job that pays under 100K, then you'll be renting and living in an apartment for the rest of your life if you're lucky.

@@devinarmstrong691 totally agree. Coming back is ruthless
Richmond,BC is a very nice place, but it's gotten worse i.e. drug addicts, and homelessness.
I hope it doesn't get any worse.
Traffic can be a killer.

haha, I get it! I'm from HK, live in Steveston and feel the same way!
I dislike the restaurant scene because the noise level of all the patrons chewing food open mouthed is disturbing when you're trying to eat.
