Elder Richard G. Scott teaches how to make marriage last forever. I am a young that is not yet married. I felt very inspired by Elder Scott's counsel on eternal marriage. I learned that women need to reassured verbally. They need to be told time and time again that we love them, treasure them, and cherish them. They need to be verbally told that we are grateful for them. We as men need to humble ourselves and serve them and be selfless and put their needs before our own.

To think, people think that our church views women as unequal to men. Elder Scott's spirit and heart radiates his unbelievable love and respect for such a worthy daughter of God his wife is. God bless all the wonderful women of the Church.

Elder Scott knows what he is talking about! Marriage indeed as the Holy Bible and Doctrine and Covenants reveal, "ordained of God!" Among the first two commandments involves commitment in a marriage relationship!!!!!!! Sharing how much we care about our spouse is a necessary nutrient to a healthy relationship! As spiritual beings we all are into expansion & growth, this will continue forever!!! Developing a closeness and more Christ-like character personally is greatly enhance by being married!

Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

This is my Favorite Talk next to "Hope you know, We had a hard time" By Quentin L. Cook. I am a Mormon, I am 15 years old and I love spreading the the word and showing people who face the 'Hard times' these messages so they learn the plan of Happiness.

We don't rush out to marry the first one who comes along. Entering into marriage requires careful attention to the guidance of the Spirit. That is what I did, getting married at age 22 with 3 1/2 years left to go on my first college degree. I subsequently finished 3 more degrees. My wife and I retired about the same time, and now are celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary in Ecuador as Temple Missionaries (we lived happily ever after).

I am grateful to the eternal blessing of marriage! Tell to your wife or your husband how much you love them often express them. Don't just estimate it.

@hellpurge108 The Word of Wisdom is what it is, if you cannot run and not be weary and walk and not faint then have an unhealthy lifestyle. The Lord asks that we are healthful. Remember, we are here to learn how to use our bodies. Since caffeine, and other things are habit forming drugs, we do not use those things for frequent use. Be tactful on how you nurture your body. Learn more about the gospel and it's blessings for these things, the reward outweighs the sacrifice. Have faith, brother.

@hellpurge108 With seminary, I understand, because my time in seminary wasn't that great because of my disruptive peers. Pray and read your scriptures and come to know the great reward that is in store for you. I promise you, I absolutely promise you that there is no other worthwhile thing.

@jrdnlott6 He tells you this because they know that marriage is the most wonderful organizations. Can't you see what he is talking about? Marriage is a wonderful thing, and as such you need to prepare for such an organization. If you are younger than 19...then you're fine haha. I think he's referring to young men that came home from their missions and hang out and don't get married.

KJV Mat. 22:30. "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." I suggest you read it again carefully. It does not say that aren't married, only that they don't marry in the resurrection. If they are Temple sealed they are already married and will be for time and all eternity. I hope your new church is providing the spiritual nourishment you didn't find with us.

Very lovely message about marriage.....however I do not think 21 year old boys should be rushing out to get married. Education and finding out who you are are extremly important ...please date but do not rush out and marry the first person who comes along....it is for eternity after all

@hellpurge108 Your parents "force" you is because they know exactly what you're getting yourself into. The church is one of the greatest joys you can involve in. Follow it. Maybe you miss the nature of the glories of heaven. Gay people can make it to the celestial kingdom, but it will obviously more difficult. They need the Lord through the journey. So do you. The reason why you don't believe is because of that.

How can a Mormon husband and wife be married and together forever? What if either of the couple is divorced, or a widow or widower? Or both? Who are they united with forever? The first wife or husband, or the second? And if either of the couple is only married once, and the other is married for a second time, is the one married for a second time reunited with their first wife or husband for eternity, leaving their second wife or husband to drift through eternity alone? See how ridiculous this is

I just don't like it when the brethren tells us to get married and stop hanging out in groups. I don't think there is nothing wrong with that and it is impossible to date these days because when I talk to lds girls all they do is look at me wierd and then run off So I think the Sisters are a part to blame here.
