Booga Booga was one of the hottest comedy groups in Hawaii during the 1970's and 1980's, performing their special brand of "Kanaka Komedy". The original members of the Booga Booga comedy group were Rap Reiplinger, Ed Kaahea, and James Grant Benton. Rap left the group in 1977 to develop his comedy career on the mainland. When Rap left Andy Bumatai replaced him for about a year. Ed Kaahea is the last living member of the original Booga Booga. I was 10 and living in Pohakupu when this aired. I miss those days.
I'm glad this video brought back some good memories
Thank you! So hard to find the “I’m Local” song! Used to have it on cassette tape
Thank you for sharing this gem of a video! I must’ve seen Best of Delima (and too!) over 100 times and know most of the songs by heart, but seeing his other skits (and slight variations of his famous ones) I’ve never seen is like a spectacular early Christmas present! Mahalo for sending me back through memory lane of my hanabata days! Edit: I just finished watching the Imelda skit, and it’s much funnier than the one in Best of Delima! He’s much more audacious with his ethnic roasts.

The skit at 20:40 cracks me up every time
