Imagine how torturous life must have been for the average worker in Racoon City before the outbreak. Your whole city is designed around puzzles to open doors and clear paths. It must have taken hours for people to get around, since their paths weren’t laid out for them by wreckage
Hahaha... Seriously,if this happened & without having proper guidelines on how to survive then definitely most survivors will not be able to make it out alive from the city.
You mean the police station only because it was a previous museum turned into a PD and the mansion and the house form 7 were both build by the same architect. there's a load of backstory
@@Plastro Wow...ok,that's some thing new for me. But still...even before the RPD,why would some one build a museum with so much intricate puzzles to solve? (I know it's a game only but in reality,it would be a hustle to survive even for few hours in either RPD or in Racoon City itself.)
I remember hiding it cause i "was too young to play it". I secretly bought it off my friends older brother and played it in hiding for a year until my dad found it and decided ge didnt really give a shit.

I still remember when I played this game for the first time... It took me three days to figure out all puzzles and way to kill the Nemesis and other enemies... Then I activated the bells in the clock tower, Jill went out from the mansion and said "Finally I'm saved!" I thought that I finished the game, I was really happy and relieved... And then that badass Nemesis with grenade launcher... BOOOOOOM !!!! I still remember that shock I felt when I realized that this was not the end... Still keeping the PS1 just to be able to play first three parts of RE...
The first time I saw my friend play this game and it came up to that point at the clock tower I knew once u rang that bell then it went into the movie mode I knew it wasn't over, it would have been too easy, I always knew in every survival horror game when there's a evacuation spot, there's always interference

+B r a n d o n It's not true 3D, the models of moving enemies and Jill are 3d (also exploding barrels, the chests, and other stuff you can move or climb on) but the backgrounds are all prerendered 2d.
+B r a n d o n I'll only argue that they look the same to me. I could be wrong. I can't count pixels after all. I'm just wicked impressed that this video that we're all watching is super high quality.
There's a myth about a bathroom hidden somewhere in one of the 11,063 alleys, but you need to find a Toilet Emblem(which is scattered in three pieces around the city) in order to gain access.
who can forget this game, alongside with tomb raider classics plus populous and hitman and metal gear... are considered as the best games human created
I love how everything happened in accordance and how each story began and led up to each character. Like how they have certain doors boarded up in Jill’s story etc and Marvin on the floor unconscious til’ Leon or Claire and then he soon changes into a zombie 😂 and they’re forced to shoot him
Certainly not gameplay or graphics but that’s a no brainer. It would’ve been better if they didn’t make the remake an afterthought of an afterthought in comparison to the afterthought that RE3 originally was.
Static camera angles are a pretty old concept, so I think the 3rd person perspective over the shoulder is a better option. Especially since you can look at your familiar surroundings remade from the originals with new details and things you'd defenitely wouldn't see in the original games.
The scene at 4:20 always stuck with me...it really set the tone for the game. Why couldn't the movies write something as simple yet effective as this? The video game had better acting than any of the actors/actresses in movies did. I actually wanted to help that guy and felt bad that I couldn't...because there was no turning back for him. The psychological affects of the outbreak and losing his daughter drove him into seclusion/starving himself. None of the movies captured the same emotions. To me, this is what Resident Evil was about. The atmosphere and the gritty survival stories. I want a little less action and more focus on characters/story. I want to feel like I'm watching someone really suffer to survive. Feeling like you're one of the only people alive. Because when you do run into someone who is alive, it has so much more meaning. You get to hear that persons thoughts on the outbreak, any information they have, and what their plans are, or their fears.
The more I watch this, the more I sympathize with the UBCS mercenaries. It seems clear that Umbrella never send them to 'rescue civilians' or ' restore order' in the first place, they were poorly-equipped: They didn't even have gas masks. Sig SP2022, the successor of SigPro2009, only selling for 300 bucks on the market. And the AR-15 they were using is largely available and not any expensive or harder to get than any law enforcement equipment. It makes sense, why waste so much budget on a team that only serves as a diversion for the media to protect Umbrella's PR? I think Umbrella never really had the intention of preparing extraction for them, it was a one way ticket. That's why Umbrella recruited them from war criminals, guerrilla soldiers and death row inmates to compose the corp, so that they won't get any backlash from the media even if they died, no one would miss them. Umbrella could walk away playing the ethical company image saying they've tried their best while sending their home-grown, trusted USS to burn and destroy the evidence, when UBSC buying the time and diverting the media's attention on the play field.
Yeah exactly. If you read into the lore their ranks are drawn from War criminals and derelict Prisoners, lead by former Soviet commanders. Umbrella gave them a "second chance", so they aren't gonna be "top notch" soldiers. As for weapons yeah seems their tactics are just rapid dominance, sheer numbers and raw firepower, just spray at whatever horrific creature the corporation sends them after, eventually it will go down, disregard the casualties, mission accomplished.
SturmWerwolf All but a few exceptions: Nikolai Zinoviev and Tyrell Patrick. But I reckon there were more observers on the field, those who signed a secret 2nd contract with Umbrella to observe and report the performance of B.O.Ws and provide extraction to valuable B.O.W models and specimens when deemed necessary. Because their hiring was cheap. I bet when the job is done, Umbrella's gonna end the contract with a bullet to their head. COD "No Russian" style. Cheap labor, multiple tasking, no loose ends. Umbrella sure know how to level the playfield. Nikolai probably suspected this all along so he escaped with the virus instead of fulfilling the contract in RE3, smart guy.
***** Well in the Resident Evil universe the US Military at the time of the Raccoon City Incident was booked doing containment (perimeter around the city) and finally sterilization (nuclear strike at the end). The city was a lost cause by the time the US Military was fully geared up. Umbrella in the panic used it's massive political influence to deploy the UBCS (under the guise saving any survivors left) although this was simply to delay the strike a few days in order to gather combat date for their B.O.W.s.
***** Well basically Raccoon City was built as a subsidiary entity by Umbrella, think about it, Umbrella lab directly in the underground of Raccoon City? Wouldn't it be too convenient? Umbrella corp could've used the excuse of deploying the UBCS as a security force to minimize and contain the damage done to their property. (Their more public friendly, pharmaceutical front establishments, that is.) And as a media diversion, claiming they were being the public caring company who deploys aid to an outbreak crisis, negating the suspicion that they were the ones who caused the outbreak in the first place.
***** You probably missed out the fact that both U.S and UK are the only nations around the world still endorsed mercenaries under the guise of security agency or PMC. And yes, they still haven't signed the 1989 United Nations Mercenary Convention. In another word, privately owned mercenary force is still deployable in U.S under the authorization of the government. It's about outsourcing.
thanks for the awesome playthrough! and thanks for not speeding through the notes (I paused the video to read them all). Hope you have more scary playthroughs coming :)
This game scared the shit out of me when I was 14. Now that I'm 27 I would like to have a rematch with it but my mom sold my console when I went on an exchange program. WTF Mom!!
i really miss the old resident evil games like resident evil 2 and resident evil 3. now capcom only creates boring shooters like resident evil 5 and resident evil 6. at least for me, resident evil died years ago.
gooched that's cause no one makes Survival Horror games anymore. now they're making Action Horror, which is only good in the form of RE 4 and Dead Space 1 and 2
Agent North Dakota Actually, now you can play Resident Evil HD Remaster. It's almost exactly like old REs plus it has EXACTLY the same story and pace of the first RE.
2:06.. she gets hit with a rocket earlier and just gets pushed away.. helicopter gets hit with a rocket and nearly vaporizes. She must be a spartan or some shit
She's the master of unlocking, she can do what she wants. Seriously, though, you'd think she'd change into something for functional at the S.T.A.R.S. office.
skytop082 STARS are like the special forces, they are and should be prepared for anything at a moments notice. And anyway, this event happened following a Resident Evil 1 when they first found out about the zombie outbreak so yes she should have been prepared.
Bob Faith Easy mode is "What if" she prepared and hoarded all the weapons and ammo she could get a hold of. Still, I don't know many cops or S.W.A.T officers who go around in full uniform and/or body armor when off duty, let alone chilling in their own apartment. Once again, even when in the presence of an evil pharmaceutical company whose lab you just blew up, you don't exactly take into account "What if that asshole HUNK fucks up his mission and unwittingly forces some crazy mad scientist dude with a secret lab in the sewers to turn himself into an angry mutant and step on a bunch of T-Virus vials infecting a group of sewer rats who in turn transmit the virus to humans causing an army of zombies and angry mutant frogs to attack the city." after dragging yourself out of bed on a peaceful quiet morning. People didn't start turning until around the middle of the day, and the horde didn't strike until early evening. If zombies attacked when I was sleeping and all I had time to do was grab the gun on my nightstand and run like hell in my underwear, I'd take that over getting eaten while trying to find my pants.
Also the idea of "corrupted science" as a plot point was very popular in the 80's and 90's, using science to produce horrors, so the "creepy lab" setting was used alot.
Leah Rodriquez Not Resident Evil 0 it ends in an abandoned Factory or I think a Water plant. And the ending scene it's Rebecca and Billy splitting up and saying goodbye as they vanish in the forest.
I loooove RE all of them, but I had to get rid of my ps2 and all the games due to my economic status looong time ago, and now I regret it so bad... I really enjoy watching this walkthrough... thanks for uploading it tho... it was great.. hugs to you friend..
I only recently realized that the voice of Claire from RE2 was also the voice of Jubilee from the X-Men cartoon while the voice of Jill from RE3 was also the voice of Jean Grey.
Aye just what i needed to see before remake launch .. i appreciate the slow runthrough .. i played this day1 when launched im 34 now . These games made my childhood dude .. thanks again
no not remaster remake re2 and 3 cause re1 was remade to re remake just like re prototype was fully remade to re0 cause resident evil has gone to shit with and after 5 only thing that was good for was the two additional episodes and multi-player the main campaign just sucked ass and re7 has turned into jigsaw with a psychopath that kills people who enter his cabin that is not re. resident evil is about bio terrorist and zombies this re7 has none of these they slapped the re name to sell the game to new comers who like the vr shit and outlast
Sadly I have to agree that Re 7 does NOT look like an Re game. I know they're trying new things and we've barely seen gameplay, but the latest trailer did not look promising. I absolutely can't stand first person stealth games and that's what it looks like. I'm way more excited for the Re 2 remake.
There's one thing that is weird though: Marvin goes into a coma, Jill passes by and thinks he's dead, then Leon finds him after he woke up, and he turns into a zombie shortly after. How come the zombies into that room didn't eat him? It's not like he was already rotten and it's not like zombies stop after you get infected. That and also the fact there's no zombies when Leon finds him.
It's because the Resident Evil timeline is completely backwards. Believe it or not, Outbreak was meant to before Resident Evil 3 despite it coming out last. You're in Raccoon city but in Outbreak but in Resident evil 3, it got completely nuked. The creators completely messed it up on that part.
LtCunningham Oh, the window that Nemesis jumped through is easy to explain. The same man who cleans up the corpses behind you fixed it. Same with the barricades all over the station. He's a real hardworking guy.
All of the events in RE3 at the Police Commissary could have happened shortly after Claire and Leon fled to the Umbrella's Lab. Marvin has been already shot.
After a few days I was able to finish this walkthrough . When I was younger I was terrified of Re2 and tbh I just beat it a few years ago and I was still spooked out. I also beat the remake a few days ago too and I loved it. I’ve never played re3 but I enjoyed your play. If I played this as a kid I can’t imagine how’d stress it would be. Anyways keep up the good work!

Nah, Nemesis *IS* the Nokia!
That's a bit untrue lol
I’m not a gamer myself, but my father, brother and cousins are...
I remember when I was 9 or 10 watching my dad and cousin play RE3...I remember thinking how realistic the graphics looked 😂😂😂.
Brings back memories...
The graphics look pretty good for a 3D ps1 game.
+B r a n d o n
It's not true 3D, the models of moving enemies and Jill are 3d (also exploding barrels, the chests, and other stuff you can move or climb on) but the backgrounds are all prerendered 2d.
+Crosmando Yeah, but still. Compare the models to final fantasy 7 or 8. Those look like dogshit in comparison.
+B r a n d o n I'll only argue that they look the same to me. I could be wrong. I can't count pixels after all. I'm just wicked impressed that this video that we're all watching is super high quality.
+B r a n d o n this is the best ps1 game ever!
+B r a n d o n There were better looking games for PS1 and they were in full 3D.
Yusuf Katalony Silent Hill must be in this list
Helvecio Gomes
haave not got the chance to paly it for the end, but for sure you are right
Yusuf Katalony Doom
you're right so cool
Yusuf Katalony GTA San Andreas.
I love how everything happened in accordance and how each story began and led up to each character. Like how they have certain doors boarded up in Jill’s story etc and Marvin on the floor unconscious til’ Leon or Claire and then he soon changes into a zombie 😂 and they’re forced to shoot him
Need a remake of this game for ps4
yes we need on ps4
itll most likely be for the next gen since it just NOW took crapcom this month to talk 2 remake... which looks like we are going in order unlike FF
Capcom make it for all platform not just ps
It's coming
@@Roadwarrior92 no bro
"September 28. Daylight. The monsters have overtaken the city. Somehow...I have lost my sandwich."
this was the first game i ever played on PS 1 & the first time i ever saw Nemisis i was like '' great i wont be able to sleep :) "
Saud J Same here .. but Nemesis grew fast in me, later.
This is better than the remake
Totally agree 💯😎👍🧟🧟💕
Unfortunately, you are right
Certainly not gameplay or graphics but that’s a no brainer. It would’ve been better if they didn’t make the remake an afterthought of an afterthought in comparison to the afterthought that RE3 originally was.
Agree with you 👍
Nemesis have the atmosphere of horror, abandon and suspense. Remake just action and clear picture.
Man, I hope they remake this after they remake the second one. And I hope they keep the static camera angles. It adds to the atmosphere.
so... Yeah, about that-
Static camera angles are a pretty old concept, so I think the 3rd person perspective over the shoulder is a better option. Especially since you can look at your familiar surroundings remade from the originals with new details and things you'd defenitely wouldn't see in the original games.
Yes, we’re all here for the remake...
THE BEST RESIDENT EVIL EVER.
I hate nemesis1911
Nuff Said!
i agree
yes even tho i was scared by nemesis when i was little i like this game
After 2
"Will you take the grenade launcher?" Is that a serious question?
Artie the Swolest Man in the World ikr😂
Lol 😂😂
Anyone else realize the nemesis is basically the terminator just without the whole metal skeleton thing.
+DarKKnightt07 And he says "Stars" a lot more too.
It was a good game but acting was terrible.
This was probably the scariest and best Resident Evil yet, and I enjoyed watching my brother play it when I was 7😊
I like that faint zombie moan/wind howling in the distance.
This puts the current resident evil's to shame
+Azim Deen What are you talking about RE 4 is the best one ever made
+steven Claessen don't talk shit..
Graham Maxwell A lot of ppl agree with this.
steven Claessen well clearly they are too young.. resident evil 4 isn't even a resident evil game.. more like mind control bullshit
steven Claessen its a good game but its not a resident evil game..
thanks for the awesome playthrough! and thanks for not speeding through the notes (I paused the video to read them all). Hope you have more scary playthroughs coming :)
Best longplay of this game on UA-cam. Love the FAQ. Good job!
This game scared the shit out of me when I was 14. Now that I'm 27 I would like to have a rematch with it but my mom sold my console when I went on an exchange program.
WTF Mom!!
I'm betting on you in the Rematch!!💪💯✨😃👍
lol you fought Nemesis on the first encounter outside the police station. Not me, I NOPED RIGHT THE HELL OUT OF THERE
Snelson i would do that to nut for some reason the game would make him find you nomatter how far you run😊
re 1 was hardest
re 2 was the best
re 3 was the longest
Resident Evil 2 was also scariest
mit4c Re1 is my favorite
Nah, 3 was the best
I like all of them :v but I haven't played 6 tho.
re4 was not on first playstation platform
So excited to have watched this, refreshed my memory of this game and can’t wait for it to be remastered.
Great content!!
What a great game!STARS sound from Nemesis still gives me the creeps.
I remember being up all night playing this
Perry Oliver it’s quite addictive.
i really miss the old resident evil games like resident evil 2 and resident evil 3.
now capcom only creates boring shooters like resident evil 5 and resident evil 6.
at least for me, resident evil died years ago.
''Sad but true''
-Metallica
Evil Within is a decent callback to those old capcom games, but yeah...survival horror aint what it used to be.
gooched Evil Within is a RE 4. RE 1-3 and RE Outbreak quality doesn't exist anymore....
gooched that's cause no one makes Survival Horror games anymore. now they're making Action Horror, which is only good in the form of RE 4 and Dead Space 1 and 2
Agent North Dakota Actually, now you can play Resident Evil HD Remaster. It's almost exactly like old REs plus it has EXACTLY the same story and pace of the first RE.
Re3 walkthrough
"This is, my last escape"
2 seconds later
*gets bit*
Jk great video
29:40 The first time i dropped my controller in my whole gamer-history
You know shit is serious when my game was on Japan language, and had no idea what to pick in first fight with nemesis
Lul
Nemesis in RE3 is really cool and f*cking scare me when i was child , this game must remake like RE2
I believe it's been confirmed that it's going to be done :D
Capcom... You better make that RE3 Remake.
@Your Mom's Creepy Uncle why
this is better than re2 remake
@MJD It will be released on April 3, 2020
@Lina Morgana Lmao yes. Haven't it played it haha
Oh they did, and in the worst way...adapted for the new generations with many cuts than an half open world with exploration...
I'm here after watching that awesome RE3 remake trailer.
RE2 is iconic but it's Resident Evil 3 is where my heart at.
Is it just me, or am I the only one who loves nemesis as a monster
Nemisis is awesome :)
2:06.. she gets hit with a rocket earlier and just gets pushed away.. helicopter gets hit with a rocket and nearly vaporizes. She must be a spartan or some shit
I KNOW THEY JUST REMADE RESIDENT EVIL 2 BUT THEY SHOULD TOTALLY DO A REMAKE OF THIS ONE
I love this game it used 2 scare shit outaa me. Best game ever
Golden days
Greatest!!😎👍💯💕
LOL @ the guy at 2:51 throwing the bombs. Now he had the right idea :D
The save room music is amazing

who the hell would wear a boobtube in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?
Apparently Jill Does
Raibin Zamuar It means her neck and shoulders are vulnerable to bites, yes it doesn't happen canonically, but a bite from a zombie can infect you.
Bob Faith
Easy mode is "What if" she prepared and hoarded all the weapons and ammo she could get a hold of.
If zombies attacked when I was sleeping and all I had time to do was grab the gun on my nightstand and run like hell in my underwear, I'd take that over getting eaten while trying to find my pants.
why does Resident Evil all ways end in science lab or chopper
was a popular ending around that time. just watch any movie from 80s and mid 90s - the chopper was always a safe haven
Also the idea of "corrupted science" as a plot point was very popular in the 80's and 90's, using science to produce horrors, so the "creepy lab" setting was used alot.
Jill is using guns without ear plugs. How is she not deaf?!
+Michael Le Ugh....because........... is a fucking game?
Leah Rodriquez Not Resident Evil 0 it ends in an abandoned Factory or I think a Water plant. And the ending scene it's Rebecca and Billy splitting up and saying goodbye as they vanish in the forest.
that's the best game ever 😢❤
Was nemesis that big monster at the end?
"You want S.T.A.R.S? I'll give you S.T.A.R.S" Was it obvious?
Yeah I thought it was haha, but Nemesis had changed so much, I hoped it wasn't supposed to be him =/
CAPCOM, REMAKE THIS ONE !!!
They heard your wishes.
They already did even before you posted this.
Wish granted
Lol sat there the entire 3+ hrs. and watched this vid
i use to be scared of nemesis, hell i still, resident evil 1,2,3,4 are the best
so do i!! D:
no matter how old i'm, he still scares me u.u
nothing more terrifying then hearing "Staarrrss" well ok maybe pyramid head >.>
Even to this date I hate nemesis
I loooove RE all of them, but I had to get rid of my ps2 and all the games due to my economic status looong time ago, and now I regret it so bad... I really enjoy watching this walkthrough... thanks for uploading it tho... it was great.. hugs to you friend..
ePsxe is your friend.
Lynnette Lopez Have you gotten another PS2? They are really cheap on eBay.
Whos here after the RE3 remake trailer🙌🏽
I kinda was here, I suppose.
nemesis eating tyrant xDDDDD
MaRc079100 tyrant is 8ft 7 nemesis is only 7ft3
@ 17:07 am I the only one that thinks this is one of the most classic scenes in videogames ever?
Lucas B. It's where i learned the name Brad Vickers...
Im one to complain about graphics but these graphics make the game look more scary
not gonna lie i still find the PS1 era zombies scarier than the 2019 RE2 ones
Ah, you're one of those people.
I only recently realized that the voice of Claire from RE2 was also the voice of Jubilee from the X-Men cartoon while the voice of Jill from RE3 was also the voice of Jean Grey.
TheUnknown285 wow I had no idea but now that you said it I can definitely tell!! Makes me love it even more!!
this is why i love RE 3, the atmosphere makes me goosebumps
An Unforgettable Classic ❤✌
Aye just what i needed to see before remake launch .. i appreciate the slow runthrough .. i played this day1 when launched im 34 now . These games made my childhood dude .. thanks again
I forgot how amazing all the sounds are on this game.
Absolutely beautiful playthrough!
Remaster all previous Resident Evil Games
no not remaster remake re2 and 3 cause re1 was remade to re remake just like re prototype was fully remade to re0 cause resident evil has gone to shit with and after 5 only thing that was good for was the two additional episodes and multi-player the main campaign just sucked ass and re7 has turned into jigsaw with a psychopath that kills people who enter his cabin that is not re. resident evil is about bio terrorist and zombies this re7 has none of these they slapped the re name to sell the game to new comers who like the vr shit and outlast
+Sulaiman Miah they said everything in the RE7 demo isn't going to be in the main game
Any word on re2 remake??
KHAOS x TH3ORY I read we should see some gameplay by Jan 2017
Love the Q&A written. Succinct and so true! Thanks.
***** Yeah, like that window from where Nemesis breaks in.
ProgressiveTrance011 It's called a PREQUEL!
LtCunningham
Oh, the window that Nemesis jumped through is easy to explain. The same man who cleans up the corpses behind you fixed it. Same with the barricades all over the station. He's a real hardworking guy.
All of the events in RE3 at the Police Commissary could have happened shortly after Claire and Leon fled to the Umbrella's Lab.
Marvin has been already shot.
its cool how in the disposal plant you see the other 5 tyrants that didnt get dropped of at the RPD from 3:14:00 on
that intro cutscene scared the shit outta me when i was little
After a few days I was able to finish this walkthrough .
And now Capcom just announced the release of it's remake. Come April 3, 2020!
I can’t believe I was afraid of this goddamn game when I was 9 years young.
