    Silk is natural NA so phagocytosis occurs due to this tissue reaction is high

    catgut is multifilament

      Technically it is. But it doesn't have characteristics properties like braided appearance or surface irregularities. Also it doesn't produce the tissue drag like other multifilament sutures. Instead it acts like monofilament.
