This is so interesting. From English to German, I would usually translate "for" to "für" and "of" to "von". But in these cases, we use these two words exactly like the Czechs. pro=für and od=von. For example: Einen Sinn für Humor haben (to have a sense of humor). Das ist so nett von dir (that's so nice of you). Also we usually say Orientierungssinn as a single word. S pozdravem z Rakouska! Thanks for your comment and an interesting observation! Throughout history, Czech and German have lived side by side, and Czech has been influenced significantly by German. You could start making a list of such similarities.

myslel bych že Common sense mělo by být zdravý smysl, ale Google říká že to je zdravý rozum. mohl bych tomu věřit?
Google má pravdu, je to zdravý rozum. Často taky říkáme "zdravý selský rozum."
