Great video! We started all our kids playing games at 2 years old. We play co-ops but we really want to stress that playing games means there are times you will lose and you should be a good loser. So we tend towards more competitive games. Agreed on Outfoxed though. It's the best cooperative kids game out there in my opinion. It's also engaging for adults too which is great. When they win we teach them not to gloat and to always say, "Good game. Thank you for playing," regardless of the outcome. With our oldest (5) we're finally getting to the point where he is starting to develop strategies and it's so fun!
One thing we do that motivates them is we pick ten games together to plan a tournament, we record the wins and the winner of the tournament gets his name written on a trophy that we did. Having the tournament recorded on a big whiteboard with the games, the players and the wins works really well for us.

That’s fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing. I love learning how others navigate these teachable lessons with their kids.

Thats a cool idea! Thanks for sharing. Finding 10 games everyone can agree on must be a challenge. 😂 I know at least in our household it would be.
