I dont know if this is an Europe thing vs American 😂 but here usually when someone celebrates their birthday by making a party, the host ( birthday girl/boy) pays for the whole check. Its so weird to me to hear that people venmo you money for their drinks , like id be so embarrassed to even ask 😂 its my party I invited you, therefore I pay for everything
It is a European thing lol. I was shocked too when I came to the US but you get used to it. Since everything is so much more expensive here it would just be too much for one person, especially as young as her, to pay for everyone.

I honestly think its only an American thing! I have a friend who is from Columbia and she was shocked that if someone invites you to lunch or something, then everyone pays separately instead of the person who invited you pay for everyone.
