What makes it all so criminal is when their family & friends tell them they can sing, when they are actually horrible.

Not so much, you know: parents are just in love with their kids. But the judges are unprofessional. You can tell somebody you reject her performance without humiliating her.
What is even more criminal is, they have 2 tryout auditions before they are on TV; so production is also telling them they can sing.

I find it amazing how so many people think that arguing will make the judges change their minds. It’s not like that has ever worked in the past
They are told by the producers to argue and beg. That way, we get the" OH So entertaining "(sarcasm) confrontation.
Well the judge was a bit harsh on the three girls when some constuctive sdvice may have been appreciated. However those girls could not sing - well in that style as it was awful!
It works with their parents.
"My name is Mason Noise, so I need you to make some noise.... because that all I'm going to do. " I can't stand that guy. Obnoxious.
Simon has no sense of humour

Why do all the judges look like they are going to a red carpet event, and Simon looks like he just rolled out of bed, unshaven, and bed head.

She is not a real judge though. She is more concerned about emotions when the aim of the show is to find a talent.
But there are frequent times when she behaves worse than him. It is a do as I say and not what I do attitude imo!

Judge Gary took psychologically disturbed Michael the right way. Got his jacket, thanked him for coming and helped him get off the stage voluntarily. Man, you need a lot of skills in showbiz. Even pretend to be a nurse to the mentally unstable. And although this sounds silly perhaps, I do applaud Gary for handling it so graciously.
Let's hope Michael's psychiatrist will take over from here on!

Sharon is a mystery sometimes. I've seen her cast the deciding vote, sending talented people walking out in disappointing tears, yet some people not as talented, she passes them through.

People like you make me laugh, you hold someone up on a pedestal; He is no different than anyone else, He is just like you and me, he eats, and drinks and defecates just like everyone else. What difference would it make to your life if you met him? He meets people like you every day of his life, wanting to kiss his boots and think he is amazing, You could meet him today and tomorrow he wouldn't even remember you. Simon Cowel is a great business man and successful and good on him for that and what he has achieved, but would I love to meet him? Why would I? I'm sure he would have no interest in meeting me and I don't blame him for that; we would have nothing in common, I'm not in his business and he isn't in mine so what would we talk about or should I just tell him how amazing he is? I don't know the man, he may be the nicest person in the world but to idolise someone just because they have been successful in what they do is a waste of time and I, for one, have better things to do with my life.

They put them through on purpose for the "entertainment " of a confrontation. Then the producers tell them that if they kick up a fuss, they might get through. It's for the cheap entertainment.
How do subzero talented people keep getting auditions?
This show is like the comedy hr.Some of these acts are really funny.

The act that I'm not sure of if they were just delusional or if they were just rude and horrible was AbLisa. They seemed to be both and neither at the same time.
I am actually travelling the world to catch Ashwins every tour date. We call ourselves "the Ashtrays" and it can get a bit nutty when we come to town.

The one girl with the singing souls agrees with the nature of Simmons comment, just pointing out that he can be rude.
I do like Chloe minus the spoiled girl attitude. Without the track she actually does have potential. I think with more practice and maybe coaching to sing with the track and how to find that tune with the track then I think it would work out 10x better 💕
I think if she went away and worked on her sining and image, came back more prepared, she would have a better result. She seemed to have a lot of natural talent but it needed honing. It might have given her more confidence as well and helped her get further.

Abby and Lisa make me mad because Lisa is the older of the two and you can hear her making comments in the background, inciting Abby to say the things she said. At the same time, she's incredibly insecure and takes it ALL out on Abby. Then at the end saying "That's the last time I do anything for her" while acting all exasperated. She's vile.

That's right! LOL. I never could confidently state which was which. It does seem like Lisa has done well for herself since then, but Abby doesn't seem to have changed much.

A public knows who they find entertaining. They don't always know who is actually best qualified to run a country. You're comparing a simple audition to years long campaigning/indoctrination and lies/propaganda and also overlook that for the government the US at least only has 2 real choices. At 1:11:34, Amanda showed her intelligence: forcing Simon to be coherent. His business is not about what HE likes: it is about what the PUBLIC likes. She forced him to be coherent even with his own goals.

My favorite scenes were the ones where Sharon (i think that's her name) was putting people in their places, and all the scenes where glasses of water were involved (particularly Louis and Debbie :) ) the one with Edna, and the singing trolls. I do dislike all the audience booing; however bad they are, they are still humans with feelings, and the audience sometimes can be very unkind. Especially with the one who went back and apologised, I got quite cross about that one. I would be glad if booing was band, it is very uncivilised and inhumane in my opinion. It would make even the best of people stressed and tense and likely to say something they would later regret if a crowd of thousands of people were booing them...... still, most of these did have a really bad attitude. I like how Simon will admit his faults, as with the Singing Trolls girl. I felt a little sorry for Louis when Sharon was finished with him... he looked lonely and sad.... :(
