Thanks for watching! One thing we would like to point out about Sunshine Key RV Resort, is that if you have a Thousand Trails membership and buy the yearly "Trails Collection" (Encore) add-on for $299 yearly dues, you can stay at Sunshine Key for only $20 per night for up to 14 days straight! That's $280 for 14 nights, compared to $1,548 at their regular rate for a standard site! This is current as of Jan 2020.
We have the Trails Collection (Encore) and called 60-days out from when we wanted to stay there in Dec. 2019 and got it. Could have been the time of year since they get REALLY busy January until April we were told.
Enjoy your program my wife worked on the corona task force in the area and could not go out of state so we purchased a truck and a camper started camping throughout the state. So now we have starter on UA-cam and etc….. thank you you encouraged us.
I'm really digging that you include footage of your rig on your adventures. Seems some are veering away from that and focusing on just the side trips in their pull along. I wanna see rigs and the workings/looks of them as well ... as someone that is interested in this lifestyle. We are total noobs and don't really have a clue as to where to start even looking! *sigh* But we DO want to get out and travel the sights and find the best economical means of doing so as I have recently been given not much time of this earth and want to make the most of it. Thanks for all your content and your quirky personalities! You guys are one of my favs! ♥
Glad you are enjoying the videos. We are SO very sorry to hear this. We are all only promised today and we should make the best of it. Find the most economical and less worrisome way and head out. You have to decided if something more roomy is more important or if something smaller and easier to get around in from place to place is more important. The latter will most likely be the most economical also. Hope we see you out there soon! 🧡😊🤓
Will have to go there one winter - looks like a great place to stay! I have the winter blues - I need to be in warm weather! lol I am six weeks post open heart surgery and doing much better. The hubs and I have rented a storage unit and starting to move some things in. Will put our house on the market in two more months and hit the road full time in our RV by summer! Can't wait! :-) Thanks for sharing another well done video! Blessings from Georgia!
So glad to hear you are doing well after your surgery Laura! Sounds like you guys are in the final stages before hitting the road. It will be here before you know it!! Wishing you all the best! 🧡
Stayed here for a week over Memorial day 2019. Beautiful place, and we enjoyed our stay. We had one of the few Beachfront sites right behind the tiki pavilion.
This was our first time to the keys and what a great experience staying at this campground resort! It was very nice and we’re already missing it. You’re very welcome and thank you for watching! 🧡😊🤓
So good to hear you enjoyed the video! Hope it was helpful. Thanks for becoming a new Subscriber of LivinRVision! 🧡 Have a safe trip and we hope you enjoy your stay. 😊🤓
Beautiful!! I'm looking for a nice, inexpensive Tent camping in the keys. When I was a child, we used to stay at Knights Key, but I've learned that they have no more campground. :(
We found the PERFECT spot for you literally a 4 min drive (2.1 miles) from Sunshine Key RV resort! It’s the Bahia Honda State Park and the rates were VERY reasonable! Last we looked it was $43 a night for a motorhome site, so you may want to check on tent site prices and get it reserved. It’s a beautiful State Park! Here’s their phone number. (305) 872-3210 Please let us know what you find out! 🧡😊🤓
Thank you very much! It is during peak season. We arrived before Christmas and left just after Christmas. We were there for two weeks. When we got there it was not near as full as when we left, as it was jam-packed then. You need to make your reservations as far in advance as you possibly can.
We were told those were residents, but they were building tiny homes that they are going to be renting. When we asked, they said they didn’t know the pricing yet. Those huts were super cute, right?!
Hi Don! Keep in mind, it’s only costly if you do not have the Trails Collection add-on through Thousand Trails which gives you the rate of $20 a night instead of $110 per night. 😊🤓
I guess that depends on the person, if you like a secluded area or being around others and making new friends and talking to old friends. It may look crowded, but it was not noisy at all when you are at your campsite. All the “action” and noise was typically up at the pool/activity center area. To each their own I guess, but it was quite a relaxing place to stay. We really enjoyed it. Remember, we are not paid or in anyway affiliated with these resorts that we do reviews on. Thanks for sharing your feedback, we truly value everyones feedback. 🧡😊🤓
Have you heard of TSD logistics? They are a trucking company that wants RVers to contact them so they can get better prices on Diesel if your rig is diesel. I saw this on UA-cam channel changing lanes rv may want to check it out
Hi Mary! Yes we have and we just recently joined. We’ll shoot a video sometime after we have some good experience with it. Thanks for sharing for others. 🧡😊🤓
There are two, Sunshine Key and Fiesta Key. They are both part of the “Trails Collection” Encore package add-on when you get the Thousand Trails membership. Since these are in the Keys, they are $20 a night for up to 14 days then you have to be out for 7 days before going back. The normal rates for these are over $100 a night without the “Trails Collection” add-on for the Encore resorts. In our opinion, TT is a must if you want to save a lot of money in camping fees.
Hi Rick. We do not work directly for Encore and they do not list their rates unless you go to Thousand Trails (RVonTheGo.com) and input specific dates, then it will give the rates ONLY for your dates. It won’t give their list of rates. However, I was able to get ahold of Sunshine Key directly by calling them and she emailed me their rate sheet for 2020/2021 which is very lengthy. I know we said this in the video, but we stayed under our Trails Collection and only paid $20 per night. Reading their rate sheet for years 2020/2021it looks like the “STANDARD” site rates are as follows... DAILY * $129/$151 Dec-March. * $97/$119 Apr-May * $129/$151 June-Sept WEEKLY $774 - Dec-Mar $582 - Apr-May $774 - July-Sep MONTHLY $1,534 Oct 2020 $1,888 Nov 2020 $2,714 December 2020 $3,303 January - March 2021 $1,888 April - May 2021 $2,125 June 2021 $2,714 July 2021 $2,125 August 2021 $1,534 September 2021 ALL THE ABOVE RATES GO UP IF YOU CHOOSE A “Premium” OR “Elite” SITE. Their phone number is: 2020/2021 Winter Seasonal Rates 3 month = $7,863 4 Month = $9,288 5 Month = $10,195 6 Month = $10,596 2020 Summer Seasonal Rates Three months = $4,563 Four months = $5,900 Yearly = $13,440 Their phone number is: 305-872-2217
We don't have a TT membership but have been considering it. We just watched this video and so I pretended to try to make a reservation. Are the Elite sites for members? If so there were none available at the beginning of October or November. So would that mean if we wanted to stay there (on those dates for example) we would have to pay the regular rate? If that's correct that's kind of a downer thinking that a member has to pay regular rates. Thanks guys - your videos are really fun to watch.
Not sure about the Elite sites. The site we stayed at was perfectly fine as the entire resort has been remodeled since the hurricane went through. We believe that most Encore (Trails Collection) parks have limited number of sites available for Encore members and then they allow nonmembers in to pay full price. As an Encore member we’ve learned to call for reservations at the earliest we are allowed, which is 60- days out, to try and get in places. It’s hard sometimes during peak times of year. We were there in December and the week of Christmas it started to fill up. We were told they stay full from that time through March.
Please don’t get me wrong with my comment I been living in Miami for 30 years we know the place before the hurricane...definitely the remodeling is awesome..but driving around the nation Florida is the most expensive state for rv park....and sorry my English is not the best ,I have totally respect for rv family .....
Now I’m moving Oklahoma/Louisville/Texas....Lousville is good for me and my wife working in Camperforce Amazon..then two or three months vacation....next stop is Jacksonville...Miami is too crowd too many party....Super Bowl...lots of place to have fun...but now I prefer quiet cities....daiquiri,,piña colada...food from all the world....mucho..mucho Linda girls... My friend keep driving safe God Bless you both..
Baeea Onda, that's the way to pronounce Bahia Honda, which means "Deep Bay". Nice campground except for too much concrete and rocks which get hot in that area. Lawn would have been much nicer. Thanks for the video.
Me and the wife really enjoy watching your trips especially the Thousand Trail reviews, so keep them coming. We just bought the annual pass and the trails collection in November and have only been able to use it twice, but so far we are liking it. But I have a question: I know that the Florida TT parks get really crowed in the winter months, did you guys have any issues trying to reserve a spot in this park? Were you able to get to stay for 14 days? Is there any tricks/tips you can pass on that might help a newbie trying to make reservations?
Thank you very much!! 😊🤓 YES, we have been here since mid November and we have had no problems. BUT, that is because we made our reservations in advance. Some TT memberships allows you to make your reservations 120 days in advance and some are shorter. Ours is 120 days and the trick is to make them right away the very soonest that you are allowed to make them. That is the trick to getting a spot at TT in Florida. Also, some TT memberships only allow 14 days at a time and some are 21 days. We have had no problem getting 21 days on every reservation so far here in Florida. We have a TT Orlando Review coming out soon, so be on the lookout. 😊🤓
Hi John, around $110 per night during peak season. Luckily we have the membership to get it for $20 per night, we could not afford to stay very long at their normal rates. Makes it nice so that you DON’T have to be rich to stay in the Keys. Bahia Honda State Park is also affordable at around $43 per night but not near as nice.
Hi Mike, it only costs $20 per night (even during peak season) if you have the Trails Collection through Thousand Trails which gives you access to Encore Resorts for free or the max of $20 a night at some of the higher priced resorts. This is a $299 YEARLY add-on fee but WELL worth it as you can see. But if a person does not have this add-on, yes you would be right, at well over $100 a night during peak season. 👍🏻😊🤓
I checked for a long term rate (6 months) and was told about $1500/month. Before the hurricane I stayed for a month for $900. Now that price is roughly $2000.
Ouch! That’s steep. I wouldn’t pay that. The daily rate has been around $110 for quite a while. That’s if you don’t have the Trails Collection add-on through Thousand Trails. $20 a night with Trails Collection but you can’t stay a month at that rate, only 14 days. Thanks for sharing this! 😊🤓
Thanks for listing the rates I don't understand why these videos never do that , should be mandatory LOL... Come to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas the oceans not quite as blue it's only an hour's drive you can pick fresh citrus out of your front yard( much better flavor than Florida's) and it's only going to run you about $160 a month LOL I can live with that.
my name is President Daniel Jason Piedra just maybe I will bring a Presidential suit and tie and American flag also and a Portrait of me and I will miss there
The place is beutyful after the remodeling but the price for people not from thousand Trais is totally ridiculous....$ 2.000 dlrs. monthly plus electric.....RV people is not rich people.
Agree, it is a little pricey without a membership. That’s why we like to try and stay at Thousand Trails and the Encore resorts as much as possible to keep costs down. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for watching! 😁🤓

That is exactly how we did it!
how were you able to get a spot been trying for two years now and always so no vacancy
We have the Trails Collection (Encore) and called 60-days out from when we wanted to stay there in Dec. 2019 and got it. Could have been the time of year since they get REALLY busy January until April we were told.

I was going to Sunshine Key when I was a teenager & I’m now 51. It was always a great place & I will forever hold many fond memories of my time there.
It’s hard to believe that this video was 2 years ago already. Wow! We were JUST there again for 2 weeks. We love it there!
I'm really digging that you include footage of your rig on your adventures. Seems some are veering away from that and focusing on just the side trips in their pull along. It’s cool to see how more comfortable y’all have gotten in front of the camera. So much growth. Great job.
Thanks! 😊🤓
GREAT video! Really shows Sunshine Key well!! LOVE the shots with the manatees!!!
Thank you so much Nancy! 🧡😊🤓
Thank you for this clarification! This resort looks amazing. We hope you are doing well out there!
We wish we could of stayed longer! Thank you and we hope you are doing well also! 🧡😊🤓
Good afternoon ! New subscriber, but just had to jump to the FL keys videos! This was a great highlight to this campground. Thank you for sharing it!
Welcome! 🧡😊🤓 Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the video, we booked a waterfront for next week. I was wondering what they looked like.
It feels like you’re not even in the US when you are there. Very tropical. Enjoy! 😊🤓
The keys is an amazing place, it beautiful and the people are so nice. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.
It really is Eddy. We truly did enjoy our stay! 👍🏻😊🤓

I need to get to Florida... It looks like a great campground! Great video!
Come on down before it gets balmy! We really liked it there, but not sure about being there in the summer. Thanks Dean!
Wow awesome video thank you!
You’re very welcome, thanks!
We have stayed there twice over the years. It is a great place to stay.
We agree Richard! Thanks so much for watching! 😁🤓
Stayed here for a week over Memorial day 2019. Beautiful place, and we enjoyed our stay. We had one of the few Beachfront sites right behind the tiki pavilion.
We know right where you’re talking about. That’s a really nice site! I think we got the “Keys Disease”, we’re ready to go back. 😊🤓
Hopefully will make it down there nxt yr or 2! Wanna visit the keys an this looks like the place to stay 😎❤👍 thanks for sharing this big rv park
This was our first time to the keys and what a great experience staying at this campground resort! It was very nice and we’re already missing it. You’re very welcome and thank you for watching! 🧡😊🤓
Beautifully done! 👏👏👏👏👏love it
Thanks! 🧡😊🤓
Looks like a great place!! Have fun!
We loved it there!! We were there in December and miss it. Would definitely recommend it!! 🧡😁🤓
Just found you. We are driving from Maine to this very destination in April. Thank you. Loved your video. Subscribing! Safe travels to you.
So good to hear you enjoyed the video! Hope it was helpful. Thanks for becoming a new Subscriber of LivinRVision! 🧡 Have a safe trip and we hope you enjoy your stay. 😊🤓
They really have fixed the place up after the hurricane. Nice new and clean park.
Agree, they really have. We’re ready to go back...before it get’s too hot and humid. 😊
We were at curry hammock and Bahia honda about the same time you were in the keys
We miss the Keys! We were there during Christmas.
LivinRVision So were we.
That place looks fantastic, thanks ya'll.
Thank you, for watching! 😊🤓

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching Trudy! 🧡😁🤓
Great video. We did a video there while we were staying back in November, nice resort.
Oh you were there just a month before us. Yes, it is a very nice resort! Thanks for watching! 😁🤓
This place looks spectacular!
We’ll definitely stay again for sure if we are blessed to get the chance!
Very nice place! TFS 😊
It really is! Thank you for watching! 🧡😊🤓
Very nice!!
We loved it there!
I sure hope you had some key lime pie while over there👀
Hi Neill!! Oh yes, Michelle had to try several places just “to compare”. 😂
We love bluewater Key. But This is definitely worth a try.
Bluewater Key is beautiful! Only wish it was an Encore property so we could get it for $20 a night too. You are right though, it’s VERY nice! 👍🏻😊🤓
Great video
Thanks so much Mike!
😊Brian & 🤓Michelle 🧡
Very nice video. Is it difficult to get reservations at such a beautiful spot?
Thank you very much! It is during peak season. We arrived before Christmas and left just after Christmas. We were there for two weeks. When we got there it was not near as full as when we left, as it was jam-packed then. You need to make your reservations as far in advance as you possibly can.
Wow what an awesome name for a UA-cam channel guys ! Just found your channel
Thank you very much!! 😊🤓 That always feels good to hear that, as we are always wondering if we should of made it easier to remember. Thanks again! 🧡😊🤓
We are Canada and we love the keys we are in Wellington Florida right weather is great
How do you like Wellington? We have never been there.
Looks like they have cute little huts to rent? Fun!
We were told those were residents, but they were building tiny homes that they are going to be renting. When we asked, they said they didn’t know the pricing yet. Those huts were super cute, right?!
I tend to like staying at lakes and rivers the most.
There’s some very nice places by lake and rivers. If you’re a Thousand Trails member, take a look at the Lake Conroe resort.
awesome place, but very costly. nice video
Hi Don! Keep in mind, it’s only costly if you do not have the Trails Collection add-on through Thousand Trails which gives you the rate of $20 a night instead of $110 per night. 😊🤓
Nice weather for sure, but way too crowded. How do you get some quiet/prvate time.
Are there other TT parks in the Keys besides this one? I haven’t yet started my RV life but when I do, TT could be an option. Thanks

Our cardinal rule is to ONLY stay at Campgrounds with concrete pads. But, you know what they say: rules are meant to be broken.
😂 And for $20 a night at a place like this (if you have the Trails Collection add-on to Thousand Trails), I’d break that rule too! 😜😊🤓

We always stay at Boyd's campground, but after viewing this video we will definitely check it out.
Thanks
I feel there's a 1-2 star difference between the 2. But we love Key west so, we'd give boyd's a try.
It’s definitely worth it, especially if you have the Trails Collection add on with Thousand Trails. 👍🏻😊🤓

Looks very nice, but being a Scotsman I would probably shrivel up and die in that sun, so I’ll just stick to the West Coast of Scotland.
😂 Yes the humidity and sun can be quite intense, especially during the summer months. Sunscreen is a must! 😎 Thanks so much for watching! 🧡
How much $$$ regularly?
Hi John, around $110 per night during peak season. Luckily we have the membership to get it for $20 per night, we could not afford to stay very long at their normal rates. Makes it nice so that you DON’T have to be rich to stay in the Keys. Bahia Honda State Park is also affordable at around $43 per night but not near as nice.
Cost!

Thanks for your feedback.
