Cencic has a real way w/ these slow arias - he is as serene and as welcoming an experience as sunrise on a Spring morning!
Mr Cencic has arrived along w/ Mr Fagioli et. al. at just the right time to enliven, calm, inspire, and refresh our oftimes frazzled modern world. yes, right on cue! love the picture of the young couple under the umbrella in the first and final parts - so moving - one can see so much precious life results in the beautiful love between a man and a woman, and it is that very kind of love, that is the source of all our precious lives, and of all the love we know through God in His love for us. : )
The veiled sound so appropriate to this piece is beautifully suited to Cenčić; and his low notes in particular are wonderful.

And please tell us more about these beautiful photos. I could listen to this masterpiece and watch the video for hours, over and over again.
You're most welcome, dear Elena. I started out with the concept of a night in a metropolis...I wanted scenes from big cities around the world. New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai, Berlin, and others. But I didn't want just aerial photos, I also wanted photos of people, humanity.
(cont.) What would people do at night in the city? They would walk along crowded streets, visit an amusement park, ride a train, watch fireworks, look out of a window...
(cont.) I also wanted people to imagine themselves in these places, so many of the photos I selected do not show faces. They show legs, silhouettes, backs of heads, etc.
(cont.) That wonderful orchestral flourish right before the B section of the aria made me think of ballet, so that became another motif. To create visual cohesion I feature a ballerina at the beginning of the aria, the one sitting on top of a roof overlooking the city, and then at the end, with the little girl ballerina looking at herself in the mirror. The little girl in particular represents dreams and hopes, as does the little girl who places her hand on the illuminated globe.
(cont.) One other visual motif is "bokeh" which is a photographic technique in which highlights are blurred in such a way that creates a pleasing visual effect. Many of the photos have I chose have blurred lights, the result of this effect.

I cannot believe that I haven't commented on this gorgeous mixture of music and photo art-work.... but as I said although I own this CD I listen endlessly to your uploads while I'm working. That must be the reason I missed out on the glorious bokeh, and the beautiful long exposures (can't do them, have no tripod). But PLEASE tell me where you found the couple Under the brolly... Makes me giddy with happiness! Honestly, I wish I could inhale both, the music and visuals - you're a magician.
