I think when she says, "I love you..." in this song, she means that she loves herself, not her husband.
I am afraid you are killing the complexity of emotions, the ambiguity that is often part of strong emotional attachments, with this interpretation. But you do bring up an issue.

Still in all , I have my Fiona mood days too, my Stevie Nicks mood has been on for a few days now though! I don't care for too many female singers!I like Mazzy Starr, Cat power they're good too, different types of music than said also!
Yes, Sia sings better than Fiona Apple, but Sia can only dream of being a good songwriter as Fiona. Also, Fiona has never betrayed her artistic integrity for success and makes better and better albums with each one. You can't say the same about Sia.
jose actually you can and Sia is doing her thing not for the money but because she wants too. Sia is an excellent song writer and even a better singer. Her changes have happen mainly to help her cope with her mental and physical illnesses. To me at least, Sia is definitely one of the best out there.
