Tbh I hate Colin Sexton. He's a ball hog and has bad tunnel vision when he drives.
Kevin Love had a mental breakdown over Colin, because KLove had the mismatch on Chris Paul and Colin Sexton just dribbled on an iso at the 3 for 20 seconds.
Sexton is terrible at point guard and is barely a bench player if he was put to a SG role that ran off screens to catch and shoot

The story of Collin Sexton is quite sad when you think about it. He was putting up 24 PPG, looking elite, and playing really good ball for the Cavs. Then he gets injured and everything does a complete 180. Now he’s demoted to being the third option on the Jazz.

    • @deecee2174

24 PPG because Beilein let that Ball Hog dribble and drive for over half the possession. He also peaked at 3 APG while at the point... I can't stand Colin Sexton.

    • @deecee2174

Kevin Love had a mental breakdown because he'd get mismatches on guards like Chris Paul, posted up; and there's Colin Sexton at the 3 trying to breakdown his defender in the ISO for 20 seconds.
Sexton is trash at point and at best, is a 2 guard coming off the bench. The fact that he's a 3rd option on a rebuilding team is GENEROUS for a lack of pro talent Sexton has. He's not gonna be a starter in 3-5 years

Even if Sexton stayed healthy, I’m not sure he would have been the type of player to build a contender around. He reminded me a lot of Monta Ellis in his prime, and we saw how little success teams had with him as their main option, despite how electric he was. Sexton is more suited for a sixth man type of role.

Sexton's numbers looked good on a bad team because he was given the green light. He was a black hole on offense. His role is best suited to being an undersized two-guard coming off the bench. He lacks the vision to be a traditional PG and run your offense.
Look at his per 36 numbers and they aren't that different from his Cleveland days. He's playing on the team where he's the 3rd/4th option. He was never going to be your franchise player or even your 2nd reliable option on a championship team.

And the Lakers Fang@ys really thought the Mavs made a mistake by letting Woods go and the Lakers snatching him will elevate them🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sexton’s biggest problem is his size which correlates with his extremely poor defense. That could be offset if he was a competent playmaker, but he isn’t. Hes a fine scoring punch off the bench, but high volume small guards who don’t play defense are not a rarity in the nba

All 3 of these guys could've been stars. Sexton has bounced back since you made this video and I think he still has a long career ahead of him. Warren would've continued being a solid Veteran/6th man somewhere if not for that injury. Warren did end up signing with the Twolves on a ROS contract at the end of the year. But he never made it into the rotation and only played garbage time. Considering he shot about 15 percent from the perimeter while in Minnesota, his NBA career is now, likely over. And Don't even get me started on Christian Wood... It's an attitude issue.. There's a reason he's been on 8 teams in 9 seasons, no one can stand the guy. Not to mention 0 work ethic. Someone said this past offseason after the Lakers signed him: "If LeBron James can get Christian Wood to tow the line, it will cement him as the Greatest of All Time." It's safe to say that Did not happen, considering the Lakers chose to run Jaxson Hayes as their backup center in the playoffs over Wood. I would say he will probably get one more contract in 2024-25 with a bad team (Wizards could use a big man) and if his numbers/efficiency aren't the same as what they once were, OR if his defense continues to be putrid it may be the last time we see Christian Wood.

Im not a fan of Sexton, but to say 'his dreams of becoming an allstar is gone' is just wrong. He is only 24 years old

There’s gonna be a lot of guys going from 20+ to mere role players because of the style of play. Almost anybody in the league today can get 20 a game with the right system

I feel bad for some of these guys particularly Collin Sexton and TJ Warren. Darvin Ham really needs to give C-Wood consistent minutes.

This was a miss for me. Your description asks “what went wrong?” Well obviously injuries for 2/3 players you mentioned.
This isn’t a video about players who fell off when more than half of it is on guys who got injured.
Hope you go back to making your usual better content

Colin sexton was a dog man. Bro took on a literal 3 on 5 in college and almost pulled it off and I’ll never forget when this man single handily beat the nets who just acquired James harden in OT
