Narrow Gauge is certainly growing in popularity it seems. Some great models there. Thanks for sharing Callum. Laurie.
It really is indeed! A superb verity of layouts as always :) Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks Callum.
I was not able to get to the show this time so it's good to have your video.
Noel
No worries Noel. Glad the videos of good use :)
Brilliant vid Callum. Looked like a great show. Lots of great layouts and locos. This weekend was the models and miniture weekend at the SDR. It was a great event, I was at the SDGRG Saturday and Sunday.
Cheers Joe
Thanks Joe. Really was a superb show indeed! Lots to see, plus plenty of stunning layouts
Very enjoyable to watch, with many interesting layouts. Thanks for posting. Cheers Greg
Thanks Greg? Glad you enjoyed the coverage of the show! :)
Very open layout...great engine and coach....simple but a real gem
Glad you enjoyed it! Certainly a nice little combo that.
Really wonderful video report.
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed the show! :)
Excellent!
Cheers
What is typical for most narrow gauge gauw trains? They are slow, but most of those trains on the layouts are not slow at all.
Enjoy this video very much thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vid, shame, I missed. the show. See you in swansea. i WILL BE ON THE GWILI railway stand but will have my 009 loco's with me. mike
See you there! Hopefully I'll be able to have a little walk around for a bit to see what's around :)
A nice little show there !!!
Really was a superb little show indeed! :)
13:29 very shot in the dark but does anyone know the name of this railway
Some fantasic layouts!
Really was a superb variety of layouts indeed :)
A superb Narrow Gauge show, but why are the opening scenes of big standard gauge trains?
That's my channel intro, it's on every video I've produced
14:15 are those quarry hunslet kits or nah and does anyone know where I can get them
Yes I believe so, sadly I don't know which ones they are
At 2:03 what type of steam loco is that? And what does that extra car on the front do?
It's a G scale model of a South African Garrett locomotive. It's an articulated engine, there is a power bogie at the front holding the water tank, one at the rear holding the coal bunker and the boiler is suspended between the two.
During exhibitions do friends of yours operate the trains on your layout while you look around the other layouts?
Yes, I tend to have a friend with me who looks after my layout when off filming the other layouts. I think it might be a toy, but it blends in very well :)
Nice Callum. At 7.47 was that the layout I saw at Harmons Cross ? .....and the Fullers Earth nice layouts .....regards Fred
Many thanks! Really was a superb show indeed! It most certainly was! Stunning layout. Glad you enjoyed it!
Callum, your layout certainly heads a broad field of narrow-gauge layouts. Was it the only one with sound? Loved the back-scene at Welshpool. Lots of well detailed set-ups, and showing how hard it is on larger scales to make it realistic.
On the day I think it was. Had lots of people take interest in it :) Really was a superb variety of layouts of display.
@SDJR7F88 This video is fantastic. Where do i find out more about narrow gauge railway modelling? I would like to give it a go as i much prefer the smaller builds
Hi there. Glad you enjoyed the video. There are plenty of clubs and societies that specialise in narrow gauge, such as the 009 Society, as well as clubs. Other place to look would be mags, such as Railway Modeller :)
Just checking HOe is the same as 009, like ho is the same as oo
Ha yes, I wonder why ;) Yep, like H0 to 00, locos are slightly smaller, but run on the same track :)
i thought that was a nice model railway display of the LSR in Cornwall
Really is a superb little set up!
14:40 ah, the Abbey Light Railway. Good times, sad its gone :(
Is a shame. Such a lovely set-up
yea, it was great fun. Saw some of the locos at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway. They had 2 Petrol mechanical locos from WW1, although one was just a set of frames.
Nice! Got to see one myself one day
Are those cars and engines scratch built or can they be purchased?
I imagine they are kit built, not to sure to be honest
If you mean the ones grouped around the Garrett, they are ready to run by a company called LGB.
Isn't that plastic horse figurine at 3:10 a plastic toy or a model figure?
Piplup Boy Well, it ain’t real.
O got eggy bean's for this one which is nice
5:08, that layout looks familiar!!!
Some really nice layout but a every common problem to most of them. The builder put a lot of effort in detail and landscape but ruin it with the mediocre performance of their engines and rolling stock. For an show layout it is a must that all engines perform flawlessly. So spend some more bucks on good drives instead of using cr... N gauge mechanisms.
Another spoilt by crowd noise
