I was addicted to porn from the age of 13. I'm 32 now. I got married earlier this year and by the grace of God I felt so much shame that I've been off of it for about 6 months. I realized just how broken I was. I was not able to function normally and was only able to finish the job about 5% of the time at the beginning. The longer I've been off of porn the more I've healed, but there are still side effects. One is that I find myself thinking of things I saw in the past while I'm in the moment. I rebuke it, but it is still there. I'm working towards a full recovery to where God meant for me to be, but porn is by far the worst thing of my life.

I'm with you all, honestly. Been having a porn adiction since 3yo, I had the disgrace of having people around me at that age that had porn material and I found it, so it was detrimental to me. I as well from time to time catch myself imagining, daydreaming, and dreaming as well with that stuff and it just makes me wanna stomp my head againt ground if I could. Its so frustrating and sad to see my head converting the most simple innocent thing in the most depraved I could think of. God gave me the grace to stop right then and there when I converted, once I was born again I never got the desire or the impulse, wich was a true miracle for me because I really went hard into porn. I kind of trained myself to think in ways that was so depraved sadly that it became a habit and I think a brain pattern as well. It really gets difficult when its time to pray or meditate in the word, because my head jumps naturally into disgusting stuff. But, God is good. He always says that He is not mad by my thoughts but have to push through and trust Him to clean my mind. It gets better when I focus and I really saw a huge change in my way of thinking. It really is about making new patterns and with God by our side, we can do it. So, cheer up! If God is with us, not even our brains can be against us!

I fight thoughts daily and by the grace of God overcome it most of the time. But still sometimes it’s there. I hope as Godly men we can overcome this by Jesus’s blood. Anyway that’s my prayer.
At least you acknowledge it's sin and even struggling against it rather than allowing it to rule you. That's the first step. The longer you fight it the easier it gets and the addiction disappears.
I am woman and wasn’t addicted to corn or social media and I still didn’t like the effect my phone was having on me and how much time I wasting. I bought a Wisephone which is a phone that looks like a smartphone but has no internet, but it still took me a YEAR to switch over and get rid of my smartphone, that’s how addictive they are. I finally switched over and got rid of my smartphone a fews months ago and I LOVE IT. I feel I got my life back. My mind is much more focused and not disjointed. I would highly recommend getting rid of your smartphone entirely. I have peace now.

The only way for folks to break free from this is getting deliverance. It's demonic, there are real spiritual forces at play. I know this because God set me free from it and it was an area of my life under the control of demonic presence. I never used to believe in deliverance. God literally forced me on the floor, I felt a battle going on between a holy presence and an unholy one. I began to keel over and my ribs ached and eventually I threw up. Now mind you, I was already a believer and strong Christian, believed in the Lordship of Christ. But I was introduced to this stuff at the around the age of 10 through a pop-up and malware on my parents computer that bypassed the firewall. I was on an off again with it, hated myself for the times I would return to it. It affected me even in my mid twenties and even when I was in ministry. It wasn't until my late 20's God set me free complete in a moment. But I can confidently 100% say the addiction to it comes from an unaddressed demonic presence operating in that area of someone's life that hides at the subconcious and unconscious levels that must be brought into the light and renounced and repented of and remove their legal right to be there.

Idk I have a different/rare experience but I’ve been able to have female friends who are objectively attractive that I strictly view as a friend (sister). They were also other Christians so that made a huge difference. Never thought of them in a romantic or sexual way. I understand most men have never had that though.

I have known this for a long time. I grew up with 4 brothers and no sisters. I had very few female friends and had family members and friends assault me over time. I would never want my body on the internet nor shared with anyone for money or fame. I have seen the effects of multiple relationships on my mother growing up. It maked me want to be with one man in which i want a relationship with for as long as possible.

I understand this is a serious topic trust me I know, but it’s so repetitive to where u get to the point where some of these females are stupid and need to learn the hard way. I was addicted to porn from the age of 13. I'm 32 now. I got married earlier this year and by the grace of God I felt so much shame that I've been off of it for about 6 months. I realized just how broken I was. I was not able to function normally and was only able to finish the job about 5% of the time at the beginning. The longer I've been off of porn the more I've healed, but there are still side effects. One is that I find myself thinking of things I saw in the past while I'm in the moment. I rebuke it, but it is still there. I'm working towards a full recovery to where God meant for me to be, but porn is by far the worst thing of my life.

I'm with you all, honestly. Been having a porn adiction since 3yo, I had the disgrace of having people around me at that age that had porn material and I found it, so it was detrimental to me. I as well from time to time catch myself imagining, daydreaming, and dreaming as well with that stuff and it just makes me wanna stomp my head againt ground if I could. Its so frustrating and sad to see my head converting the most simple innocent thing in the most depraved I could think of. God gave me the grace to stop right then and there when I converted, once I was born again I never got the desire or the impulse, wich was a true miracle for me because I really went hard into porn. I kind of trained myself to think in ways that was so depraved sadly that it became a habit and I think a brain pattern as well. It really gets difficult when its time to pray or meditate in the word, because my head jumps naturally into disgusting stuff.
But, God is good. He always says that He is not mad by my thoughts but have to push through and trust Him to clean my mind. It gets better when I focus and I really saw a huge change in my way of thinking. It really is about making new patterns and with God by our side, we can do it.
So, cheer up! If God is with us, not even our brains can be against us!
Yeap, Porn is a killer of men. The world has normalized lust, now we don't even see the problem. We are basically in the eye of the storm, it's calm and controlling where we go. Only when you decide to move closer to God, do you realize where you actually are. I pray we all find freedom in the Lord, from all our sins and vices.

At least you acknowledge it's sin and even struggling against it rather than allowing it to rule you. That's the first step. The longer you fight it the easier it gets and the addiction disappears.
I am woman and wasn’t addicted to corn or social media and I still didn’t like the effect my phone was having on me and how much time I wasting. I bought a Wisephone which is a phone that looks like a smartphone but has no internet, but it still took me a YEAR to switch over and get rid of my smartphone, that’s how addictive they are. I finally switched over and got rid of my smartphone a fews months ago and I LOVE IT. I feel I got my life back. My mind is much more focused and not disjointed. I would highly recommend getting rid of your smartphone entirely. I have peace now.

It’s why I decided to quit dating in the church I never dated in the bars but I will say the men in the Church can be just as scandalous if not worse than those in the bars because they are sneaky and do their ish in hiding. Again my trust issues came from the service industry but forgot to mention it was compounded by what I saw in the Church.

When you aren’t focused on him it’s easy to do rotten things to humans. Unfortunately I’ve worked with individuals at a very high level inside and outside the Christian realm and they all can be scummy if they are inward focused. The only way for folks to break free from this is getting deliverance. It's demonic, there are real spiritual forces at play. I know this because God set me free from it and it was an area of my life under the control of demonic presence. I never used to believe in deliverance. God literally forced me on the floor, I felt a battle going on between a holy presence and an unholy one. I began to keel over and my ribs ached and eventually I threw up. Now mind you, I was already a believer and strong Christian, believed in the Lordship of Christ. But I was introduced to this stuff at the around the age of 10 through a pop-up and malware on my parents computer that bypassed the firewall. I was on an off again with it, hated myself for the times I would return to it. It affected me even in my mid twenties and even when I was in ministry. It wasn't until my late 20's God set me free complete in a moment. But I can confidently 100% say the addiction to it comes from an unaddressed demonic presence operating in that area of someone's life that hides at the subconcious and unconscious levels that must be brought into the light and renounced and repented of and remove their legal right to be there.

Men need to stop simping and paying for attention from people who see them as a dollar sign.
These men who pay don’t mind being seen as a dollar sign because they see women as a product, an object to satisfy their own lust. A man with a godly, high moral mindset wouldn’t be so willing to pay for these things. So let these men correct their mindsets also. Accepting they are sinners and seek forgiveness from the Lord Jesus and he will renew their minds and transform their hearts. Same goes for the women. We all need Jesus to be the center of our hearts in order to not see each other in a perverse way.

They were also other Christians so that made a huge difference. Never thought of them in a romantic or sexual way. I understand most men have never had that though.

I agree with Ruslan in that girls and women do not know how men really think. Maybe if you grew up with brothers, but there is a disconnect. That conversation should be happening. I imagine that people are ashamed to talk about how men really think but it would help when we have the whole conversation around modesty. people think the concept of modesty is oppressive to women. it’s more about loving our brother men walk around with these thoughts that pop in their head so quickly.

I have a lot of friends who are a bit into the idea of doing an only fans account as a source of semi-passive income, and it’s crazy to me to think that that is a really common thought for young women nowadays. But I am so glad that none of them have followed through with that.
