Well, since moving to the cape from gauteng 2 years ago I have seen for myself how different it works under the DA. I tore up my ANC membership card many years ago but living in Jozi the DA is not seen to be doing anything. I am fully behind the DA and will surely vote.
Theyre trying. But they have to work alongside ANC bums, even in my area, its a DA area but its deteriorating every year. And the DA is powerless to get finances or any Muncipality to do the most basic of things.

Thank goodness nobody can legislate against problem-solving. Right now I can think of at least three ways to circumvent this law using simple logic. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The ANC does not see the bigger picture; we must be grateful for this.

Thus they will assist with jobs. We needs jobs not charity(grants). We have people who are hungry for a job.

2024. What now? I've been jobless for years due to my skin color. Hundreds of ignored job applications. I've been demoralized and humiliated! I feel unwanted and like a burden to my family who have been reluctantly supporting me for years now, reducing me to their domestic servant. This has been horrible and has caused me to lose my dignity and the respect I used to enjoy through hard work and dedication to my family. I would gladly even take on a part time position but gert denighed! Working online is literally almost impossible due to the Gov. blocking access to online job sites causing people to use VPN services, which I can't afford, to lie about their location in order to work from home doing online work. I am 54 years old this year and I have lost all hope of any kind of independence in the future. Mission accomplished ANC!!!

This discussion relates to the new EE act passed by the president last week that pretty much says coloured Indians cannot work on some areas of South Africa because of the new quota that says for 100 people employed only 0.2% can be coloured or Indian (that is not even a whole person) in mpumalanga northern Cape and other areas forcing them out off those areas because if they are employed the business will be fined 10% if their annual turnover or millions of rands. So this new 'apartheid ' like law is quite serious if you are Indian coloured and also white. So race based law is extremely serious at the moment, these laws are against South Africans. So they might as well be illegal in their own country.

The DA never ever accepted apartheid to begin with, it was one of the political parties at the time that stood against it. Too many people have been brainwashed into thinking that the DA used to run SA, never happened. DA started in government around the same time as the ANC
It appears you didn't read read Ms Holm's response clearly because she states that the DA will never accept apartheid again^ note again.Of cause quotas did not exist in the past,because Africans were excluded or not permitted to perform certain types of jobs.Just as it was the case in academic sphere,they couldn't be taught certain subjects or study for certain careers such as engineering.. What's needed is people coming together in finding ways of building this beautiful country of ours ieSA.

The first people in the DA were part of the Democratic party they were the ones who helped write our constitution we enjoy today and fought apartheid. As I understand Helen Suzman was part of the DP. As I understand it the DA only started in 1999. Our constitution is strong we all love South Africa and the people in it. We will never go backwards, that is why this 🗑 rubbish act must be fought. Don't think shoo I'm not Indian white coloured so it doesn't effect me. Believe it effects all of us if they can do it to one race they can do it to anybody. Unfortunately, you can't talk about standing together when we're not on similar levels. The racial discrimination that still exists is primarily due to huge financial differences - financial difference caused by racial differences, somehow. If one race way stronger financially than the other, then racial discrimination will be persistent. 🤷

I don't think the DA has anything better or new to offer. It doesn't even seem to have a strategy on how it plans to bring South Africans together. You can't bring people together by just talking.
