It's cause she's off to the side of it you have to be under it if works very well it's like having a box fan but the motor is noisy but a quiet noisy I recommend it if you don't wanna spend 50 for the real one
I HAVE SEVERAL, and my complaints are its REALLY NOISY and instead of leaving it on in just the light mode, I can't, the fan automatically comes on whenever I flip the wall switch -- it doesn't remember what you set it at the last time you used it. UNLIKE THE BELL AND HOWELL, which I also have... It's really, really quiet, has ample light modes, and it remembers what you had turned on the last time you flipped the wall switch - WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT!!! Bell and Howell is better, but for as cheap as you can get the Farpoint at Ollie's - guess its okay, but the fan comes on every time!!!! I want to be able to pick and choose when to turn the fan on, not EVERY time, don't need it on in the winter. Bell and Howell is better!

Typical poorly made Chinese quality. I bought mine for $9.99. Too loud to use in bedroom. Might try it in my garage.
