    How do they determine frame material, size, connecting points. There are a lot of stresses to factor. The frame is truly a work of art.

    Tim thanks for all the fantastic videos. Its been a lifelong dream to build a dune buggy, with a tube frame and decent horsepower motor. Where do you start learning about chassis design?

    Is it a life span on drag chassis? Meaning do they get twisted up over time.

    so to make sure the welds don't over heat the base metal and turn grey what amperage range have you found works the best for most of the 1 3/4 tubes, I'm building your double frame rail 69 Camaro chassis if that makes a difference

      Evan, we will check with Tim and the fab shop to see what they suggest. Because it will depend on several different factors, it may be difficult get specific but we should be able to find some answers for you. UA-cam is also a great resource and has a ton of information on general fabrication which may help. If you are using Miller products, they have great Tig calculator which can offer a great starting point - www.millerwelds.com/resources/weld-setting-calculators/tig-welding-calculator

    What would it cost for you to build a top sportsman/doorslammer/X275 car like this. Rolling chassis. You do everything but wiring the car and putting trans and engine in it! 55k?

    What are the fixturing brackets your using with the holed down clamp that secure the tubes to the table? Are those available some where or made in house?

    • @Timmcamis
      @Timmcamis  8 років тому +2

      Yes, most everything has been made in-house.

    Do you just use the flat bed rig to spot weld the chassis and then put it onto a rotisserie rig or something to carry out the primary welds?
    I imagine its quite difficult to weld the underside members

    Hey guys, thanks for a brilliant series. I'm watching your race car build and in the video it mentions a clip from a 2 hour chassis kit tutorial video. Is this video available? if so, where? I cant seem to find it! I have gone through you videos and none are 2 hours, have you split it into sections? many thanks again.

      @@Timmcamis Looking at your website i see you have the how to construct the chassis video for sale. I was wondering if in that video you cover how to take the measurements for any car to make the tube chassis. I want to make a tube frame mr2 with all the original paneling.

    Why I sent your
    Why isn't your operation on the discovery or velocity ? Yet they have shows about buying cars with a fucking airplane flying around . Or that show that takes celebrity's cars and suv type vehicles and destroys them with 24 inch wheels. and I've seen them painting a dash pad with a dam spray can . I almost had a stroke !
