Dolphin Boy is giving me Marine Boy vibes. Kinda like how Lion King had Kimba The White Lion all over it. Though given it was aired in 1968 I doubt many have never heard of it. It was the 1st anime I ever saw.
Don’t worry. I reckon this will only get 40% by rotten tomatoes and quickly get forgotten. It’ll be the film that destroys Bill Skårsgard’s career for a while as well
